There's no deal to call bad right now. I hate Colon a lot, but he's not been signed, so there is nothing to say about it.

Why would JD even make an offer? I'm telling ya, he may be a brilliant guy, but he's missing a sensitivity chip.

Who said he made an offer? And his job is not to give a damn about what we care about. It's about to field the best team he can for the money. He met with Colon's agent, who happens to also represent Cruz.

I don't expect them to have so many career years at the plate, and I think losing Colon and Balfour will hurt them. Not saying they'll be Astro bad, but not clear cut better than Rangers

Well, as of right now, I think they're at least 10 games better, we'll see how it looks when ST rolls around

Did someone not post we made him a 3 million dollar offer?

It's waaaay too early to even know that. They lost their most productive starter and let one of their best relievers go and replaced them with Kazmir and Johnson.

According to Rosenthal, the Trumbo trade takes the DBacks out of the Choo sweepstakes. But speculation is they were never really in it to begin with and only floated that interest out there to pressure the Angels into making the deal with them. So it would appear (key word: appear) that it's down to Seattle's money whipping versus our appeal to him from a competitive/area preference standpoint. Choo is an awfully good player, even with his splits and average glove, so I really wish he would take less and JD would offer more to get it done.

That's the good news of the day, I was talking about it earlier, the big spenders for Choo may be dwindling, I think there is still some hope there
