Like I said, I havent heard anything besides our interest in brown and our past interest in lee over the years. Just thought it would make for interesting speculation

I think you're over valuing lee.

It all depends on how much Lee has left in him. If over the next few years he's going to keep putting up the numbers of an ace then sure I'd trade for him, but if he's only good for one more season and starts declining afterwards then I wouldn't do the deal even if Brown was included.

I find it hilarious that they just traded a bat to get back a pitcher they traded for Dan Haren.

He's also 40... and with his conditioning I don't know how well he'll do if we signed him. I'm imagining him fielding a groundball in the middle of June in Arlington, it's not pretty.

Yu got his walk rate down to respectable last year, and it would have been lower if not for some bullshit umpiring. He would have easily had a sub 3 BB/9 if not for some straight up head scratching non third strike calls.
