In Beltre we trust.
I've always been a big Greinke fan, was pretty crushed when we lost out last year
Would having Greinke have been the difference this past year? At most they make it to the ALDS.

Fuck you D'Backs. If you send them anything good I hope your team sucks forever. You and your asshole super christian guy who hates PEDS.
He's my favorite baseball player ever. I was equally crushed. Also the fact that we only offered him 120 million was pretty debilitating as well
Ya the rumor that kemp was going to be there must be false then. But I can confirm that Kemp's agent is in orlando, and he fully expects a trade. There was a rumor kemp was going to be there to recommend teams and to workout if anything happened, but if his leg is in a boot that simply can't be true.
So could the boot rumors be false?

Cruz would likely be a DH, but I think Choo is out of the question for us at this point. I think we're gonna push hard for kemp though
The guy is a gamer...can't help but to like him
effing Dodgers, we almost had him

Yeah but he can never do it over a full year.
He always has that horrible stretch
Yeah I would of loved grenkie but everyone was concerned with anxiety issues
Not only that, but everyone he has ever played with say that he is the smartest baseball player they have ever met. Plus, his mechanics are going to allow him to stay healthy and durable even when he gets of age.

I though our money was in line with theirs and at the last minute they threw in an opt for Greinke, am I remembering wrong?

Just keep him away from Carlos Quentin
We didn't offer Greinke close to their offer. If I remember, LA offered 147 mil? Maybe 144? Something around there. We weren't in the ball park, Greinke just really liked Texas which allowed us to stay in it until the end. We offered less years and money for him
That isn't why we didnt sign him. We didn't think his performance was worth the value. Unfortunately, we were wrong, but it happens. He has no anxiety issues anymore. He's in los angeles, which is a bigger market than texas, and he was greatly successful, so I dont think its an issue
