Not many of you will agree, but I'm starting to think we should focus on resigning Cruz and sign Morales to DH.... That lineup would be pretty good I think. No holes at least....

He meant qualifiying offer...you're correct we tendered contracts to arbitration eligible players like Mitch, Feliz, etc.

Not Soria though, i think. He's on year 2 of a 2 year deal

Article the other day said they were tendering all five guys.

Then they traded one of those tendered.

Not sure on the Mets since they were in like a 6 way tie with 88 losses which would put one team at #11

Mariners essentially give up a 2nd rounder/sandwich pick to Yankees, who gain also gain one from the Mets, but lose one of those to the Red Sox for Ellsbury, but then lose it to the Cardinals for Beltran....?

Lots of sorting out to do there

Mets --> Yankees (Granderson)
Mariners --> Yankees (Cano)

Yankees --> Cardinals (Beltran)
Yankees --> BoSox (Ellsbury)

so essentially the Yankees break even?

I'd have no problem with this. But it doesn't address our lead off situation. I'm a little apprehensive about this.

Lead off spot would be kinda weak, but if you switch Choo for Cruz and add Morales as DH? Hot damn

I think the value and worth of most of these FAs is way off base. It is insane now.

That McCann signing seems so reasonable compared to some of the other deals that have gone down. Stupid Yankees
