He isn't JD, he is just a scout lol. He gives opinions to his boss, but at the end of the day he isn't the one negotiating or making deals

We need a bat, and Napoli would help for sure. Signing Napoli doesn't take acquiring a left fielder off the table.

Agree. COF is the major concern for me right now. Wanting players and needing them is quite different as in Naps case.

So Texas is paying the catcher's position 4.05 MM this year and they are projected to be worth about 2.9-3.0 fWAR combined. If so that would be crazy good value.

If they did sign Nap, I'd think they have a trade in the works with Moreland. Seems unlikely tho, especially since everyone and their mother is in on Napoli now.

1MM for JPA to keep Cheerios off the 25 man roster is a win to me. It's not one of those stunning moves that blow you away, but JD makes enough of these small moves like signing Frasor again, and it all begins to come together.
