You D1 guys. My Alma Mater won 35-7 today in the first round of the D3 playoffs today. This whole BCS thing never ceases to crack me up. Did watch the game though. And per usual someone ran for an obscene total of yards vs the Ags. Only difference was that LSU kept points off the board. Has LSU figured the kid out? 0-2 against them now.
Go Cru! :)

While the Rangers lost out on McCann, there are still players available that would boost the team's offense, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News writes. Texas continues to seriously consider Shin-Soo Choo and Carlos Beltran for their left field job, while Jacoby Ellsbury and re-signing Nelson Cruz are also possibilities. With McCann off the board, the Rangers could also target a catcher who bats from the left side on a short-term deal, then platoon him with Geovany Soto, Grant writes. As a switch hitter, Dioner Navarro would appear to fit that bill.

What have we learned here Evan?

Choo makes a lot of sense. We need a LF and a lead off hitter. He will be overpaid though. I just don't know what the plan would be at DH? Cruz would be ideal if he would agree to it, but I'm sure he wants to play in the field.

I'm pretty sure the only way Cruz gets signed is if he's in the outfield.

Yeah I know. I guess I just hope he will want to stay home. I know it's not likely. Hopefully he goes to the NL. Watch the O's sign him.

I get the feeling it's Cruz or choo, unless Cruz is willing to split outfield/dh time. Choo is awful against left handed pitching and Cruz could play outfield the games, and dh the others.

I did go to Baylor. I went to Mary Hardin-Baylor. Both schools started from the same roots in Independence, Texas in 1845. Baylor Female College, eventually became known as Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Idk. When OK State has everything to gain from winning they seem to choke under Gundy. Yeah they won the Big 12 that one year, but losing to ISU kept them from the championship.

We are going to have to overpay for whom ever we get.
