Do we have a source?

Anthony Andro of Fox Sports

Rangers pitcher Tanner Scheppers has been told to arrive in Spring Training ready to both start and close following Derek Holland's knee injury, Anthony Andro of FOX Sports reports. "It opens the door for someone," Scheppers said of the injury, while noting that Colby Lewis and Robbie Ross should also be in the mix for a rotation spot. Andro also spoke with Elvis Andrus, whose 2013 double play partner of Ian Kinsler has been replaced by Jurickson Profar, and outfielder Michael Choice, whose chances of securing a starting job fell after the Shin-Soo Choo signing

Scheppers told to arrive in ST to both start and relieve. Not sure what to think of this. Last time he really started was in 2010 and it was for just 7 games and that really is it.

Awful decision.

Ogando is the last one I want them to move back and forth. I know sometimes it's needed, but Scheppers isn't one of them.

Agree. Just keep grooming him for setup or closer.

I wish they'd make Feliz a starter. But I'm with you on Scheppers, leave him in the pen.

That was the case long before Holland got hurt though, I read something about that a few weeks ago

He started some, but with Nathan gone I doubt they even give that another look.

He's only 25 (which is crazy), but he needs to have a big year.

Feliz has started 7 games w/ a 3.02 ERA, 1.200 WHIP, and 1 CG. 23 BBs/36 K's (yuck)

I went to look because I couldn't remember how many games he started.

I want Feliz to be the next Rivera.

Plus he stated now that he wants to be the closer whereas before he wanted to be a starter. Now that he is embracing that of being a closer then help him achieve that goal.

He looks like a young Fidel Castro haha.

Maybe a Venezuelan Abe

I hope he's grown his upper body strength some more too. Some power was starting to show late in the year. Maybe he'll give us 10-15 this year.

I totally typed out Felix too...I cannot believe that I did that. Least I didn't call him Perez.

Think I actually typed Pedro Feliz once

We probably all have at some point. It's an easy mistake to make. Just funny that this many years later it still happens. That Felix Perez is one hell of a flamethrower.

I'd rather he go back to giving us 30-40 doubles, that was the most disappointing thing about last year, 17 freaking doubles, down from 31 the year before
