And you base that on what, exactly?

Making it past the 4th round of Wimbledon 1 time in 6 appearances?

Or perhaps his zero (0) titles on grass?

I'm genuinely curious what makes you say that.

Based on the way he is playing now. As far as the meaningless stats you present, JMDP played with a bad wrist for a long long time. Since he recovered from surgery he has returned to the form that won him the 2009 US Open. His injury occurred right after that. He has the best forehand for grass (very flat) than any other player including Federer. His serve is also very well suited for it and close to the top as well. We cant say that about any other player.

Damn, DelPo is coming up with some big shots whenever he needs them.

Terrible tiebreak for JDP. He gave away this set on that 3-2 point on his serve when he had the point won several times but managed to hit an error which gave Novak the mini break

You can say he played a bad tie-breaker! I prefer to think DelPo had dodged a flurry of bullets in his last 2 service games and he finally succumbed to Nole! lol!

This is becoming one of the greatest matches of all-time. That 4th set tiebreak by DelPo was epic. If the 5th set is as good as the first 4, this is gonna be the best match of either of their careers.

JMDP pulling some Nadal antics with limping around when he loses points, but running around like a gazelle winning them.

Still, very good match.

Both have played some remarkable tennis. I love the friendly atmosphere between them. No snarls or nasty looks when one or the other makes a terrific shot. Just respect.

Djokovic's match against Nadal in the AO final was better, IMO.

If he gets through this match, I'll be happy for him, but saying the only person who can beat him on grass is himself is categorically moronic.

It's obvious when people who have never played the game before try talking about it. :)

I like speed a lot more than spin. Nadal wasn't smacking 100 MPH forehands.

Oh yeah,I get it. All of the discussions about the greatest matches of all time are interesting because we all like different styles of play.

One of the most extraordinary matches I've ever seen.

JMDP could not possibly have played better, and neither could Nole.

Really hoping to see JMDP win another major. He's a warrior.

He will as long as he stays healthy. Fed is done and Nadal is only really good now on the clay courts.

Let's hope this Murray match is at least decent. All I'm asking for is a tight 4 set match.

Yeah, for Jano..! Going back in time, supposedly the best quality match in a Wimbledon semi was Borg against Vitas Gerulaitis; going 5 sets and 8-6 in the fifth in '80! Both played with wood on skidding grass and VG was at the top of his game pushing Borg to the limit! :10:

Janowicz is for real. I think he will probably win a major eventually.
