yeah I saw it last night. Joensuu looked like he was just poking Doughty with his stick, didnt look bad at all, then Nolan sucker punched Joensuu hard.

Just a possible reason for the punch on the kings board. While I am not a fan of sucker punches this is a borderline case. Gloves were on and the guys were engaged but Nolan lost his cool and deserves a fine

That's a pretty good look actually.

Hard to say where the Wheel will land from one incident to the next, but I could see that being a game. They've come down fairly hard on sucker punches in the past.

What's Jordan's "official" rap sheet? I know he plays with an edge, but not sure he's ever been suspended.

Even so, it's a scrum, official between them and ref is telling him something and he sucker punches him.

A couple games. 2 or 3, IMO.

cant remember if hes a repeat offender but probably 1 game maybe 2. that gif doesnt make it look terrible, when I saw it on tv last night it looked way more violent

Nolan’s only other brush with the Department of Player Safety came as a result of a crosscheck to the back of Henrik Sedin in which he was assessed a $1,436.94 fine last March. The Department of Player Safety has suspended a King once previously. Dustin Brown was assessed a two-game suspension for elbowing Minnesota’s Jason Pominville on April 23, 2013.

The punch may have been a heavy-handed reaction to this grab by Joensuu.

Kneeing never seems to get suspended unfortunately (otherwise Dustin Brown would be looking at a lifetime ban), but I thought maybe Haula would get something. Didn't seem to much different from the play Tootoo got suspended on for hitting Miller a couple years back.
