too close to the playoffs, dont want to hurt their chances or improve another teams. not that he is the end all be all but dont want to give an unfair advantage anywhere you know

Nino has his head down, looking at the puck - which he clearly proceeds to take a swipe at. Then he realizes that he's in too close/at a bad angle/coming too fast/all of the above & braces for an impact.
How is that an intentional attempt to take head shot?

Any credence to the view that the league was on pace to set a record for suspensions handed down and all of a sudden there are no more suspensions?
Neiderreiter should have had a talk with player safety AT LEAST here. He's a young guy who might be influenced by talking about a dangerous play.
Now he's just being trained to think that unnecessary hits to the head are A-OK.

Compared to other recent elbows/head shots, that one looks tame.
Andrew Shaw gave a little shiskabob to Zach Smith of the Sens late in the 3rd period last night. That might get looked at by Shanny.
