not that it was suspendable but does anyone have a clip of Raffi Torres running (into - he was supposedly pushed by a Coyote player) Jason Labarbara last night?

he smacked Yandle pretty good too ... and cleanly

Yeah, I was more miffed at this Coyle hit on Stajan earlier in the season that resulted in no supplementary discipline for young Charlie.

I think it was this one 43...

Ummmm, yeah. If Coyle had NOT hit him there I would mock him mercilessly.

Head down, along the boards. Sucks for Artie, but nothing wrong with that hit.

Look, I hate Torres, I wanted Sharks fans to boo him in his first game in teal but he was clearly checked into Labarbara.

Cowen hit on Skinner...Looks like a great open ice hit to me (and I wish a speedy recovery for Skinner!)

Kerry Fraser didn't like it one bit though.

Fraser: Looking at Cowen's hit on Skinner

Fraser is off his rocker. Cowen does not jump in the least. :L

Terrible article in general. Who cares about muffinheads views on old school enforcers?

I often enjoy Fraser's column but this was turrible.

I see no issue with that hit whatsoever. Sucks that Skinner got hurt, but LaRose really set him up to get nailed with that pass.

And yeah, Fraser is insane on that one. Didn't look to me like he left his feet, though the angles shown aren't as good as they sometimes are for assessing that.

The head being the principal point of contact is insane too because he had him lined up for a full body check and didn't slide out of his way to chicken wing him or anything like that.

Cowen went on to get the better of LaRose too. Though I'm pretty sure LaRose knew he was out of his league on that one.

Yeah Larose was out of his league and both players knew it. Once Cowen had it under control he let up a bit, IMO.

Although he's a huge guy Cowen has never really been a big scrapper. He'll defend himself but he never even reached 100 PIMs in any individual junior season.

Held his own against Westgarth later too though.

He slashed him, but I think Daniel went down because he tripped over Crawford's pads, not because of the slash.

It was probably penalty-worthy, but just a minor for slashing, and the powerplay wouldn't have happened anyway because Daniel scored the goal. It was a good swing, but I think most of the sound was just the product of where he hit him, right on those hard plastic hip pads.
