i take back everything Ive ever bashed on Shanny. He really gave it to Nolan of the kings today for crosschecking Sedin on the ice. it was a pretty nasty cross check that was bad enough to be looked at by the NHL.

Oh yeah, been so busy looking for the Fisher hit, I didn't post this. Wheel O' Justice lands on "Rick Nash".

Kind of a charge, and landed a 5 minute major in game. No clear targeting of the head, but that's a pretty healthy cut on Artie's dome.

I agree that it was maybe a bit of a charge since it looked like he left his feet. I definitely wouldn't call it a suspension-worthy hit though.

But just imagine someone hit Datsyuk or Crosby that way...

And I don't think it deserved a suspension either, but in light of recent WTF decisions, every hit is a lottery ticket.

Clune followed up tonight with a knee-on-knee hit on Jordan Eberle. No penalty called on the play.

Definitely should have been a penalty, but no way that it's suspension worthy.

In other words, yeah, they'll probably look at it

This seems like the formula they use with a couple different amendments when applicable. Was he hurt? could he have been hurt? is he dead? will he die some day? did the alleged offender apologize? (hey it's worked for some). You get the point.

Yeah I do my share of bashing him but like the clip says they go over many incidents almost daily. I still don't always agree with his decisions but it does show it's not an easy job.
