Cardinals:

Ryan Williams and Greg Toler (players that will make an impact that were injured last year)

drafted Floyd

Their O-Line sucks
but they have a great RB tandem
two hard to guard big WRs on the outside.
Kolb should be better his 2nd year in the offense.

D-Line is one of the best in the league (If not THE best).
Good ILB play.
Toler (Strong Impact)
Safeties are above average.

Peterson and Howling holding down the return duties.

:csb:

Arizona Cardinals: Cornerback Greg Toler allowed a catch rate of 41.5%, the lowest for all cornerbacks this year.

The absolute perfect scenario for me!

Cordarrelle Patterson, WR Tennessee

Randy Moss is now very old and Mario Manningham and Kyle Williams are both very hurt. Michael Crabtree is continuing to come into his prime, and the ultimate possession WR needs a true counterbalance on the opposite sideline.

The 49ers are a team that runs to set up the pass, and Colin Kaepernick is not afraid to take big shots.

It's clear that A.J. Jenkins was a terrible pick, and taking Cordarrelle Patterson in this spot gives true hope for a well-rounded and dynamic receiving corps with such a big, athletic body operating out of the X.

How is his hands though? Kaep throws bullets, all that body catching won't cut it.

In this scenario it would be so hard for me to pass on Rhodes.

He has very good hands. Almost like Crabtree like hands. I'm okay with that scenario because we can land someone like Amerson in the 2nd.

If his hands are like Crabtree's then we'll have no chance at him. If he's that talented at pass catching then

1. I'm VERY UPSET that we won't have a chance at him

and

2. He's going top 15 for sure.

He's definitely worth a top 15 pick. I have said that numerous times in the past in this particular thread.

Unless we trade up. Not likely, but it's possible. Anyway, I wouldn't mind staying put at 32 and get a guy like Tavon Austin, if we really needed another receiver that bad.

Best SB roster I've seen.

I really like it! News from the practices will be one thing I look forward to. The game as well, but a lot of players may have an off day (Mike Iupati) on the actual game itself, but hear how dominant they were during the practices.

Pretty damn good QBs and RBs in the Senior Bowl for example.

I think we do need an explosive slot receiver, as well as an explosive and reliable punt returner.

Austin would be a nice pickup, even if he's not there, Hopkins would be too.

This also has to be one of the deepest drafts for te's too. All won't be playing in the Bowl game, but there are 5 or 6 that will be productive

Names off top of my head are Eifert, Ertz (the best one), Dion Sims, Gavin Escobar (the one I hope we target), Jordan Reed, Fauria, Toilolo, Chris Gragg, Ryan Otten and there is a good one on the Vols (forgot his name).

No way we bring Walker back!

So the more I think about it, the more I think the biggest improvement the Niners can make in the draft this offseason is trading up for Chance Warmack & letting him play C. Goodwin is probably the weakest starter on the team, and Warmack is a beast. That would be an absolutely legendary OL. And in case the Niners can't re-sign Anthony Davis, Boone could possibly kick out to RT & Warmack could play RG.

I'm not married to the idea yet, but he might be #1 overall on my 49ers big board at this point. If he's there at... say... 12-14, the Niners should try to move up & take him.

Can Warmack snap to a qb in the pistol or shotgun? Has Warmack ever played center at any level? Can Warmack be a leader of the trenches like a center is supposed to be? Does he call out assignments and things like centers do?

Otherwise, I think Barrett Jones might be a better choice if we were going that route.

I went and found this quote.

Warmack can play guard or center and he can play them in the big leagues right now

I could see the Texans taking Patterson now that they lost Posey to an Achilles tear.

Would it surprise anyone if the Texans take a shot at Alex Smith?

They are headed into a new stadium and their QB is just not that great. Not saying Smith is better but the pressure might be on to make a change.
