Sharrif Floyd - DL - Player

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Chiefs GM John Dorsey called Florida DT Sharrif Floyd to "check on him" Monday.

It could very easily mean nothing, but draft-week maneuvering is always more noteworthy than the months of visits and speculation that comes before it. Floyd wouldn't be an inconceivable reach at No. 1, but it could be a sign the Chiefs believe they're in position to trade down. Floyd could go in the top-five, but may free-fall if he gets past Oakland at No. 3. Floyd isn't a good fit for 3-4 defenses.

Sorry Sick.. Ya boy aint gonna be here. While it would be a good fit for the future..

Out of those four teams, I hope he goes to Mia so if he hits we don't have to see him outside of the Super Bowl or one other time during the year.

probably but then again, who knows?

if Hayden goes before these guys, might push one into round 2? will there be four teams drafting CB in round 1?

I think for sure you are looking at 4 if not 5 corners in round one.

Milliner, Hayden, Rhodes, Trufant and possibly Jamar Taylor. What this could do is drop cb down the draft boards later on, such as a player woulda been late second, now could be had third (I'm lookin at you Mr. Slay!)

Sidenote: I want three players in the third round, haha.. Slay if we don't address CB in round one, I def want Lattimore and I def want Barrett Jones to play Center on this mean ass OL for the next 10 years. I would gladly take 6 weeks off his rookie year if we can get 10 years at potentially probowl level.

John Jenkins - DL - Bulldogs

NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah writes teams are concerned about Georgia NT John Jenkins keeping his weight in check in the future.

"Jenkins is an enormous man with the power and strength to develop into a dominant 3-4 nose tackle. However, his motor isn't consistently running, and teams are concerned he will struggle to keep his weight in check," Jeremiah writes about Jenkins, who he listed as a boom-or-bust prospect. Jenkins recently lost weight, checking in at 338 pounds. Whether he remains at it or drops even more is in question, however.

Matt Elam - DB - Gators

The Chicago Tribune's Dan Pompei writes that some scouts like Florida S Matt Elam more than Texas S Kenny Vaccaro.

'"He's not the biggest, but he does not play small," one respected talent evaluator said,' Pompei writes. Vaccaro is widely regarded as the top prospect in this year's draft class but apparently not to everyone. Elam is a smaller prospect that is better in run fits but has more fundamental problems in coverage. Vaccaro is expected to be draft in the first-round and go before Elam.

Barkevious Mingo - DL - Tigers

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora tweets he keeps hearing "more and more" about LSU OLB Barkevious Mingo potentially going No. 4 overall.

The Eagles hold the No. 4 overall selection and have been linked to pass-rushers during the draft process. They're moving to a 3-4 defense, which is arguably the best fit for Mingo. Mingo lacks great explosiveness but has length and pop to be a good pass-rusher. He needs additional space to work with, which is why the 3-4 defense makes sense for him.

And with the 61st pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select...:

Darius Slay - DB - Player

Sources tell ProFootballTalk.com that Mississippi State CB Darius Slay has a torn meniscus.

Slay did not miss a game last season and blazed a 4.36 forty at the combine. So it's a recent injury for a player that was projected as a second-round pick at worst. Meniscus tears aren't overly difficult to recover from, but they can lead to knee problems down the line. The meniscus is the part of the knee that cushions the load in the body's most fragile joint.

Big news but not a huge surprised there:

Eric Fisher - T - Player

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora is "hearing" the Chiefs will likely select Central Michigan LT Eric Fisher with the No. 1 pick if they can't deal disgruntled LT Branden Albert before the draft.

The reasoning is vague, but the Chiefs apparently believe Fisher would be better suited to the "power game" at right tackle than Texas A&M's Luke Joeckel if they kept Albert on the blindside. La Canfora had previously been adamant that Joeckel would be the Chiefs' pick. Unusual for a team picking No. 1 overall, the Chiefs have yet to be overwhelmingly connected to one player. There's still plenty of time for Albert to be traded before Thursday evening.

Menelik Watson - T - Player

According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins have "spent more time" with OT Menelik Watson than any other tackle in the draft.

The Manchester, England native had never played football before August 2011, but is a former basketball player with considerable athletic upside to go along with his 6-foot-5, 310-pound frame. Watson would be a nice fallback option for the Dolphins if they whiff on Oklahoma's Lane Johnson and fail to acquire Branden Albert, but will likely be off the board before their first second-round pick at No. 42. If the 'Fins are dead-set on the former Seminole, they could package their No. 42 and 54 selections to move back into the latter third of the first round.

Barkevious Mingo (#4 overall pick), or is this Sick's bust pick if this were to occur tomorrow evening:

Matt Barkley - QB - Player

According to CBS' Jason La Canfora, the Jaguars are "high on" USC QB Matt Barkley.

Barkley isn't a candidate for the No. 2 pick, but a potential trade back into the final third of the first round. NFL.com's Albert Breer reported earlier Tuesday the Rams' No. 22 pick is viewed as a "potential landing place" for teams looking to move up to get a quarterback. Barkley is a second-round talent on tape, but appears likely to come off the board on day one. Related: Jaguars

Well, we need to jump ahead of the Panthers then if that is the case:

Star Lotulelei - DL - Player

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Panthers have shown a "lot of interest" in Utah DT Star Lotulelei.

The Panthers are far from settled on the interior of their defensive line, but it would be a major surprise if Lotulelei tumbled all the way to their pick. La Canfora believes Carolina is likely Lotulelei's "floor," meaning he wouldn't fall any further.

Kenny Vaccaro - DB - Player

TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline reports the Saints could target Texas FS Kenny Vaccaro at No. 15.

Vaccaro has been heavily mocked to the Rams at No. 16 and Cowboys at No. 18, but it appears they may have to trade up if they're serious about landing the draft's top safety. The Saints could simply be trying to create interest in the No. 15 pick, but have a need at the back-end of their defense. Roman Harper and Malcolm Jenkins are both coming off abysmal seasons.

Sylvester Williams - DL - Player

According to TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline, "insiders believe" North Carolina DT Sylvester Williams will be the Cowboys' pick at No. 18.

That is, assuming Texas S Kenny Vaccaro doesn't fall. Williams hasn't generated as much buzz as some of the draft's other defensive tackles, but has long been near the top of big boards. His selection would likely punch DT Jay Ratliff's ticket out of Big D.

A big :finger: to the Jets. He belongs to us:

Tavon Austin - WR - Player

TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline reports the Jets are "looking for a weapon" with one of their first-round picks.

Pauline believes West Virginia WR Tavon Austin is "now in play" for Gang Green. Pauline's report comes just hours after CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora passed along that the Jets "like" the explosive 5-foot-9 chess piece. Picking at No. 9 and 13, the Jets have also been strongly linked to guards and outside rushers.

D.J. Fluker - T - Player

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Cardinals are "extremely high" on Alabama RT D.J. Fluker.

TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline reported Friday the Cardinals "would consider" Fluker at No. 7. Arizona has also been strongly connected to Oklahoma LT Lane Johnson. The Cardinals are shaping up as a good bet to address their shaky line with their first pick.

Jonathan Cooper - G - Player

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports Titans coach Mike Munchak is "very high" on North Carolina OG Jonathan Cooper.

It's been a busy day for Cooper, who was also linked to the Cardinals at No. 7 by ESPN's Chris Mortensen. No. 10 would be early for a guard, but the Titans have a glaring need opposite Andy Levitre. Cooper would plug a hole, while also placating Chris Johnson, who hasn't been shy about blaming his recent struggles on poor line play.

Chance Warmack - G - Player

"Sources" tell CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora the Lions will consider a guard at No. 5 if they can't trade down and OTs Luke Joeckel and Eric Fisher are off the board.

It's the second time La Canfora has linked the Lions to a guard after he reported earlier this month Alabama's Chance Warmack wasn't "out of the question" at No. 5. The Lions have a hole at right guard, but it would be a major surprise if they became the first team in over 10 years to take a guard in the first 10 picks, especially since 2012 first-rounder Riley Reiff is looking like he might stick on the interior.

Geno Smith - QB - Player

According to NFL.com's Albert Breer, "some" teams view the Rams' No. 22 pick as a "potential landing place" for clubs that want to move up and draft a quarterback in the back half of round one.

Our tentative expectation is West Virginia's Geno Smith, USC's Matt Barkley, Florida State's E.J. Manuel, and NC State's Mike Glennon will still all be on the board at the 22nd pick. The Rams will likely use their earlier first-rounder (No. 16) on a wide receiver or perhaps safety, but the 22nd pick may very well be for sale. Clubs potentially interested in a deal like this might include the Jaguars, Eagles, Cardinals, Jets, and Bills.
