Michigan has a great opportunity to make the playoff this year because they could lose 2 games and still have more quality wins than anybody. They have the toughest schedule in the nation with games against Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan State and Wisconsin. If they go 3-2 against those teams and take care of business in the other games, they got a hell of a resume. I think Michigan, Clemson and Alabama have the best 3 defenses in FBS. If Patterson works out and the line improves we're talking about this being a special year for Michigan. They really need to beat Ohio State though. And they really need this win against the Irish.

Cue 8 wins in 3...2...1...

Well losing Tarik Black is a huge loss for Michigan.

We balanced it out by losing Shaun Crawford.

He was great in the Toledo and ND games and that was it, though the OL didn't do a lot of favors. Brandon Minor should have been getting more carries than he was IMO. He played really well against a very good PSU defense in 2008 (117 yards on 23 carries, 2 TDs; Michigan was actually leading at halftime).
