Fair enough. I was just curious opinions vary greatly on Ben.
Yeah, I mean all three of those guys are well past their days of being good. I honestly don't have a good opinion on who is better at this moment.

Yeah, that's fair enough. Who do you have in their prime? What's tour 1-2-3?

Mahomes, Jackson, Wilson are probably playing the best at the position right now.

Nooo with Ben, rivers , Eli in their primes.

fwiw right now I have

mahomes - class of his own

Brees , Watson, Jackson

Wilson just slightly behind and sitting by himself, then a handful of others.

just my opinion though

Where's Garoppolo? This is a travesty.

Mahomes, Wilson, and Jackson top 3 for me. I just think those guys can do more than everyone else.

Regarding Ben, Rivers, and Eli, I would go in that same order as far as who's better. Rivers doesn't have the two Super Bowls, but so much about getting to and winning a Super Bowl is affected by luck and the play of your teammates, so I do think that people weigh Super Bowl wins too heavily in comparing one QB to another.

It's just the way it is, but it shouldn't be that way. Dan Marino has no Super Bowl wins and only one appearance, but we still know that he is great and that he is better than most QB's who won a Super Bowl. I think that Tony Romo is vastly underrated.

I'm not sure where I'd put jimmy to be honest I have an incomplete for him. Wilson is an enigma to me. His stats are great. But what team has a franchise qb and insists on focusing solely on a running game? Why does he always have just amazing runs followed by mediocrity. Like his second half this season. I've read some advanced analytics that Russ doesn't see things as good as you think. But I've seen other stuff that has him ot if this word. I guess I just personally am not as high on him as others. He's still way up there for me.

but back to jimmy right now I have him in a large group of guys that I think on any given Sunday can step up or down that make up the like 7/8-20 range. He's also one of the few in that group for me who can easily cement himself as a top qb. I'm not as down on him as you think.

Oh I see. In their primes I'd probably say Ben, then Rivers, then Eli. Ben clearly above, the other two not too different. But it's pretty subjective

Can't put Rivers over Eli since he never made it to a Super Bowl. Fair or not that's how QB's are now judged. Not sure about this but doesn't Rivers hold the record for most playoff starts by a QB without making it to a Super Bowl? :noidea:

And for anyone that has an issue with my rankings I don't need any examples of a QB that made it to a S.B. & a QB that didn't. Like Stan Humphries & Dan Foust.

No need for Steelers fans to be insecure about this. Roethlisberger goes into the HoF very quickly once eligible. The other 2 will have to wait. (That's if they ever get in). I don't think either of those 2 will get in. They played at a time when there were at least 6 better QBs: Brady, P.Manning, Roethlisberger, Brees, Rodgers, & Wilson.

Which one of those three has the most Super Bowl MVP trophies?

#1 for me is the guy that gets it done under pressure. Best player on the field against the best team of the last two decades.

Eli = 1st Ballot

Ben, Eli, Rivers.

Rings mean a lot. Having been a Patriot killer is a feather in Eli's cap, too.

I think its pretty clearly Ben > Rivers > Eli

Ben is a Hall of Famer. Rivers is a Hall of Very Good. Eli Manning is the NFC Joe Flacco.

Nope. If Eli had pulled off a SB miracle just once, I would agree with you. But he did it twice. That has to count for something. Ben, Eli, Phillip.

easy order is

1. Big Ben
2. Eli
3. Rivers

With that said though I do find it funny the hate ELI gets... saying that he didn't have great SB games... But Neither did Big Ben...

In fact Eli has better per game playoff numbers than Big ben... Sure ben played 9 more games... But again, it is not like he was great...

SB numbers

record, yards(per game), TD, INT

Ben- 2-1, 642(214), 3,5

ELI- 2-0, 551(275), 3,1

Also, Big Ben had the much better scenario in his career... He had only one coach, and basically no drama that he didn't make himself...

Eli, had multiple coaches, worse overall team,

also, Eli was known for 4th quarter come backs and clutch play for most of his career... I think we get blinded by his prolonged suckiness the past few years...

Ben played what 2 games before his injury, I would take Ben all day long as Brady's replacement over Phil
Fat Ben with the repaired elbow? Before he got hurt, yeah. Now, no.

Eli gets "hate" because a lot of people like to pump him up as great, but he isn't. He wasn't just inaccurate and turnover prone late in his career.

sure, he tarnished his reputation the last few seasons... But the Giants were a bad team, they made him look even worse than he was...
