I think Forbes has the most miserable sports reporters on earth. OK, maybe tied with the Bleacher report.

I read Forbes regularly and it is honestly one of the strangest sites to read. Sometimes the writers on that site are top tier, others it's like bleacher report writing.

That being said, Forbes writing about a non-business aspect of sports is like ESPN writing an evaluation on Apple's 3rd quarter performance.

Stupid article when you really think about it. How about cities(states) with no pro teams like where I live in CT? I would consider the state of CT on the top 5 as well as VT,RI and any other state without at least one pro team to represent.

What difference does that make when we are talking about the most miserable sports city?

Well, you cannot expect Bowls to be weighed as a CITY thing considering that a majority of people going to Bowl games are from someplace else, namely from the schools that are playing.

Doesn't it have to be Oklahoma City! Even the birdman wouldn't move there.

I'm happy to see that the Thunder offense is going a significant hit now that Kevin Martin left to go to Minnesota. James Harden didn't want to be part of the Thunder and now the main guy that they got in return for TRADING Harden doesn't want to be in OKC. It makes me smile. :yahoo:

The falcons are good enough to pull you out of the bottom 5, at the very least. I would think Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Detroit (they kind of have hockey but it's hockey) have to be up there.

How do you figure Detroit ? Sure the Lions have sucked forever, but we've had hockey and hoops championships within the last 10 years and the Tigers have been to the WS a couple of times... they haven't won it in a while but getting there is better than not getting there.

Not around here they aren't. Most of the people attending any game in Atlanta are Atlantans. We would never miss a SEC-ACC match up around here!

With this in mind, couldn't you put CLEVELAND before SEATTLE given that they lost a team with a much more storied history in the Browns then the Sonics while also having virtually no success along the way over the last 10 years? I know they got their team back, but they then had to watch the Ravens win the Super Bowl shortly after leaving so that has to count in the "We are miserable" weight scale.

Oh Cleveland is definitely #1, but Seattle is up there. We've experienced a lot of sports misery over the course of the last 45 years.

Really I thought the same thing about the Dallas cowboys. One playoff win in over a decade seems like a career-ender to me.:suds:

I haven't read all of these posts but come on people, Seattle has been an extremely miserable sports city. 2001 Mariners ring a bell? The 2005 Superbowl? All those nasty good mid-90's Sonics teams that lined up perfectly with Jordan's dominance in Chicago, only to lose in the first round during the only two years where he "retired". And losing the Sonics the way we did, just after drafting our would-be savior Durant, amounts to a very miserable past.

Now that doesn't mean we all don't have some amazing memories as well, or are somehow bad fans. All it means that once we hit that summit, oh how great it'll be. As everyone in Western Washington should know, its impossible to appreciate the sunny days without the rainy days.

Yup. 4 posts and all on Seahawks and Mariner boards talking shit. Your next 96 posts best be else where. I suggest the Cowboy board. Come back before that we'll be saying Adios to your trolling butt.

Just to clarify what I said, when ever I see a poster list his favorite team as X, but he doesn't even post on X team board, instead he posts on Y team board talking shit. That's a troll and I have little tolerance for trolls.

I would have to say Cleveland or Detroit being the most miserable with maybe the Red Wings keeping Detroit out of last spot.

I can't put Detroit on there. They have a couple of championships in recent time.
