Paul Pierce and KG can be scary now that they don't have to log big minutes and carry the team.

If they play 27-30 minutes a game, they can make the NETs a 60 win team.

Are the Celtics now a bottom 5 NBA team?

Just goes so show, from coaches right down the line, nobody wants to be part or rebuilding.

It will be as strange as strange can be to see Pierce/Garnett in another uniform.

especially Pierce. Wonder how C's fans feel about this.

They go from losing Rivers 24 hrs ago to now also losing their whole team too. Crazy!

Depending if they can fill in the cracks with veterans....

The NETS might just be the best team in the east on paper.

I think every position features an allstar in the last 3 years.

Plus Jason Terry.

Deron Williams
Joe Johnson
Paul Pierce
Kevin Garnett
Brook Lopez

That is the best starting lineup in the NBA.

if they can only find a bit of depth to go with Jason Terry.

Depends on what KG and Pierce have left!! If they have enough left in the tank, this team to take down the Heat. If their tanks are empty, they're in trouble!!

I am interested to see how these players mesh. We know Pierce and KG can play together, and now they just want to win more than anything, this could be a Spurs/teamwork type of team.

KG's leadership will have a big impact on Williams like Wade's did on Lebron. I think we will see Williams play at a higher level

Bradlley, Rondo, Green, Wallace, Wilcox/Melo. They might score 50pts a game.

What Johnson have you been watching? He should be coming off the bench

Not saying it is fact, but I was told by somebody who I would deem very reliable, that Johnson was out until 4 a.m. the night before game 7 last year.

If that is true, I wouldnt even want him around my locker room.

Anyway, I still dont see the Nets being better than the Heat, Pacers, and possibly the Bulls if Rose is Rose again.

Nothing better IMO then for the Heat to feel threatened (if that is the case).
Complacency kills in this league.
Hopefully Allen comes back. He would be a significant loss IMO.
Then, if we somehow get Oden, and he somehow stays healthy, we are once again in pretty damn good shape.

I think Allen needs to go. You need to make roster moves, and clear cap space. Allen, Miller, Rashard Lewis all need to retire. Allen makes the most, but if they aren't going to trade Bosh he's the next logical guy to move.

Find a legit defensive big man. Oden is not that guy.

Have they already used their amnesty option yet?
I dont see them being better than the Heat either, If Pacers improve their bench and get a true point guard, Nets will be behind them as well. I see them about even with the bulls

I actually think they shouldn't start ANY of them. Bring them all off the bench. They only way those guys will be effective is if you are limiting their minutes, like what the Spurs do with Duncan.

Who would you start at the 4? The Nets gave up Humphries, Reggie Evans, and Gerald Wallace (if you want to go small).

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Paul Pierce and KG are over the hill as is Terry. They'll start off hot the first two months and then faulter come January. Happened in Boston, and it will happen in Brooklyn. Plus they now have zero depth. Hard to add depth to the bench when you're already past the salary cap. You have to hope and play that "young" talent will want to play for the vet. min.
