Breaking: Brooklyn Nets All-Star Kyrie Irving has requested a trade, league sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. The franchise has been informed that Irving prefers to move on ahead of the Feb. 9 trade deadline - or will leave in free agency in July.

ESPN Sources: Brooklyn's Kyrie Irving has not shared a list of preferred teams, but he has maintained an interest in the Lakers. LA is expected to be among the teams that'll explore a possible trade with the Nets.

Hard to see a situation where KD is willing to stay in Brooklyn once they move Kyrie.

I'd expect that they'd have to try to sell him on the supporting cast they believe they can put around him next season.

But, considering that he turns 35 this year and has been injury prone of late...they may be ready to let him go.

Not for Phoenix. Talent, sure. But downgrading from Paul's leadership to Irving's is unimaginable.

I think he stays put. There's just not a sensible deal out there. The FA market won't be as kind to Kyrie as he thinks it's going to be. I bet he rides it out with KD and he convinces him to stay...

Being a Celtic fan, I'm stressing about what Stevens will do to make Wyc happy. That quote, "Muscle up. Just do it." is true and the Boston television media is coming up with every conceivable trade that they can think of.

They were discussing Durrant last year. I know he makes Stevens drool. He ain't muscle, but adding him would be incredible to this young team.
