I agree 100%.
I don't really care what happens this year because the team is about to have a new owner and new front office. To me, that is much more important than giving up a 2nd round pick and getting our butts kicked in the playoffs with a lame duck coach.
Going into 2023 with a 2nd pick is more important than sneaking in to the playoffs and getting a 1st round exit.

"IF" we happen to fall into the playoffs, it wont be because RR is a good coach. We have now seen what kind of coach we have after 3.5 seasons of games played.

Right, like I said, Rivera is currently on a 4 season-losing streak dating back from CAR. If we go 9-8, that still doesn't change anything in my book as Rivera the GM is the main issue here, not Rivera the HC.

We will basically have to pray that the Cowboys, Giants, or 49ers fall apart. Dean thinks we will sweep the Giants. I see no evidence of that at all. It could happen, but when you have 5 "what if" scenarios that equal the team making the playoffs, I tend to think it sounds ridiculous. The Giants are a better team with more talent and a better coach. They will have to play poorly for WSH to sweep them.

With the sale of the team seeming more likely each day, I am more focused on preparing for the future instead of the team making the playoffs right now. That means that Wentz doesn't see the field again to preserve the 2nd round pick. Dean is worried about the here and the now and wants the playoffs badly.

I read an article yesterday that stated that Rivera will more than likely be told he will NOT have resources to make any major signings or trades this offseason as ownership is transitioned. Jay Glazier also reported that the sale could be finalized in as little as 4 months now. IMO, that should be the focus, not surrendering a 2nd round pick just to have a 1st round exit in the playoffs.

Davis was selected way too high (not a 1st rounder) and Holcomb is a back up imo. We need better drafting analysis from our so called experts in house. I am all-in on getting this regime out of here with new ownership.

Two separate conversations. I agree we could upgrade the LB position. We just have much bigger needs.

That is why I was against hiring him from the start. The man literally had ZERO front office experience and we tapped him to run the whole show?

How can that even be a rumor?

We don't know who the new owner will be.
We don't know if the new owner will retain Rivera.

We don't even know if the team will be sold at this point. All signs point to yes, but it is not 100% a sure thing right?

this is all about dean being able to puff his chest and say wince took us to the playoffs . the truth is falco can do just as well as wince in that regard . i dont think we have 5 wins left , boys and eagles are 2 losses and the giants at worst are 1-1(more then likely we get swept ) and the 49ers are a loss as well .

I agree with your predictions. I have us at 8-9...maybe 7-10 if the giants sweep us.

I know the giants are better but I am not sure how much better. I think both games will be close. The giants are much better than years past.

what i dont get is dean badmouths falco saying he has the defense balling and needs it but then turns around and says he wishes the defense was balling with wince ? basically admitting wince needs the exact same support

most likely falco will have 2 wins in 4 games while wince needed 6 games to get what ? 2 damn wins !

It is a pride/saving face issue. Wentz was supposed to be the savior of the team and guide us to 11 wins. The fact is he stunk. As such, it could NOT be Wentz's fault because he was the answer. Therefore, the excuses started: OLine, receivers, Turner, elite opponents, now it is defense.

Wentz is the better QB...but that doesn't mean he has played better or better in this offense.

Colts had a different QB when They beat the Chiefs. I would say both but it just obvious that TH is not a good starting NFL QB. Not saying Wentz is elite but he is not as bad as TH

Wentz is not a bad qb. Of course, KC is playing well. TH doesn't belong in the conversation. He is only being played b/c of injury and has shown nothing that he can be a starting qb in the NFL. If you guys think he is a good qb teams will be after TH in FA.

The team is not bad like you say it is. Wentz is not a bad NFL QB.
