I don't think the Rangers are actively choosing not to play small ball. I think the hitters are not producing results.

they've encouraged the hitters to be aggressive me thinks they need to tell them to be aggressive but moderate it a little

to me it's making things a lot easier for the opposing pitchers. they know the Rangers are going to be swinging away, so they can throw junk and let the batters get themselves out.

Well I don’t mind them attacking the first pitch if that is what they are looking for and if they have a talent for recognizing pitches
But with men on base they need to stay back and hit behind the runner.
But still there are alot of swing and misses for many of ours. That is a huge part of it
