We took a step backwards today Dean. Finding momentum moving forward will be tough. TH showed his true colors today.
We need a QB who is good enough to raise the level of play of those around him. Until that happens we swim in mediocrity.

I agree. He was bad today Even if he was on, the defense couldn't make the big stops in the 2nd half that we needed. Chiefs lost two guys last night. Lets see if it matters.

I would love to sit here and say the Saints disguised stuff or jumped routes. Truth is Heinicke threw up some dumb shit again this week and it finally caught up with him.

Losing Scherff cost us in the run game. Losing Cosmi didn't help. Heinicke being without Logan, Brown, and Samuel is why I will overlook his terrible game today.

The fact that Seals-Jones and Reyes, two guys pretty much signed off the street are getting more run than Bates is concerning, but not surprising.

Humphries was good. If everyone is healthy, I want McLaurin and Samuel on the outside with Carter in the slot. Money aside, draft picks aside, get they guys that are producing on the field.

D Line was good enough. Chase had a good game. Forced fumble and was doubled and tripled a lot. Payne flashed.

Jamin looks like a bust. Meanwhile JOK is balling out. Kyle Smith anyone?

Secondary is a mess. Move Landon to LB or get him off the field. Pick one! He is free lancing back there and it's killing our season.

Move Fuller to FS and live and die with BSJ.

At what point does the anger toward Collins move to JDR?

Had no business losing this game today. Landon 's missed assignment, the Hail Mary, and Heinicke playing like shit cost us the game.

The wr's were not the problem yesterday. TH's accuracy was way off like his decision making. His best asset is his legs that will help us. The defense didn't do us any favors yesterday even getting 2 turnovers.

At this point you have to get Reaves and Deshazor on the field just to see.

Shame that RR seems like he wants to die on that hill currently

Been thinking about this and RR stubbornness to shift. This trait was complained about loudly in Carolina and likely was a large factor in his exit there. Didn’t seem to display that last year.

He displayed it last year too! So many were blinded by false hope and didn't want to see it even after it was pointed out to them. I suppose, attacking the messenger just felt better, than seeing what was right in front of them.

Not remembering egregious examples tho I remember being critical of him early in the season for his media speak... when it came to actions it felt like he made changes (ie DH, letting young guys play) and of course you gotta give a guy some passes given covid, Cancer, first year and the sexual misconduct issues in the front office.

Refresh me on your major points regarding his stubbornness and / or inflexibility again?

Smoot on the after show making me laugh. Responding to a caller

‘Step away from the ledge...Look at the Packers, football gods gifted them 2 HOF QBs... one right after the other...40 years of great QBs...and they’ve only gotten 2 SB wins from it. That’s football’
"Step away from the ledge" was a funny line but beyond that...

There are different ways to look at that statement and not one of them remotely comes close to HOW that QB is acquired. There's zero mention of that in his statement, just the ranting of the fearful, trying, without proper capacity, to make one point about two different subjects.

I know that there are conservative minded people who are too afraid to try something different, yet complain endlessly when doing the same thing over and over nets the same results. Crazy huh??

Take note of something that Smoot also didn't say, but implied with "40 years of great QB's" in his statement, and that is... Given the choice in his own career he would take that great QB play and a top of the line guy like Watson, over any of the trash that he played with during his time.

Great QB's makes your team relevant, and more often than not turns the offensive side of the ball into something great, or otherwise expressed, extremely dangerous to opponents, who have designs on beating your team.
