Going back a few years here's Minnesota's OOC record.

2019- S. Dakota St., Fresno St., Georgia Southern + a bowl win (4-0)

2018- N. Mexico St., Fresno St., Miami (OH) + a bowl win (4-0)

2017- Buffalo, Oregon St., Middle Tennessee (3-0)

2016- Oregon St., Indiana St., Colorado St. + a bowl win (4-0)

2015- lost to TCU 23-17 to start the season

So that's 15 wins in a row vs. OOC teams and not the 21 you're trying to claim.

Even if not counting the 4 additional wins UMn won after losing to TCU was a legitimate way of figuring out the length of a winning streak, which it is definitely NOT, but regardless, EVEN IF it was, wouldn't the 2 ooc wins they won this year count?

I mean, you gotta be like all kinds of stupid to come up with 15, lol.

Not surprising that FDF would stretch the truth (or outright lie).

When have I ever outright lied?

I can or have supplied sources for all of the facts that I post. How I interpret those facts would be, from your perspective, a stretch or an exaggeration, but that's similar to how Dems and Pubs interpret the same information differently, it's the same FACTS, but Trump, for one example might round up and say 1/3rd and the Left declares he's LYING, because technically it's only 32.4%, so not quite 1/3rd, or some lame bs like that.

He fights with no much really ... I gotta respect that ... you fight with someone that keeps going after you beat them, you are gonna lose.

"not much really"? what? Come on man as Biden would say.

I've got plenty, more than most if not all of you could even begin to imagine.

Now granted, if you got the impression that I'm claiming UMn is #1 all-time in cfb, lol, well then yeah, I'd have "not much really" to back up that argument, but I have not once tried to make that argument.

Even the title of this thread doesn't specify "cfb". So I can include things like former Gophers coaching CFL teams to Grey Cup Titles and John Gagliardi's winning more cfb games than anyone in history, almost entirely at St John's in Minnesota, and 7 guys with Minnesota ties making the NFL All-Decade team, etc..

And also, look at who I'm fighting primarily, FSU fans, WSU fans, WVU fans and Oregon fans. The 4 colleges combined can't even match HALF of UMn's Natl Titles, and that's if I only count the "Recognized" Titles as they are accredited with up to 4 more depending on who you are talking to. So it could be argued that UMn has 3 times as many.

So you're bragging about shutting out a bad CU program that's had two winning seasons ('20 & '16) the last 15 years?

View attachment 280285

Well, if they have been so bad, why hasn't any Pac team shut them out in Boulder the last 15 years? Seems NO team has shut them out in Boulder since 1979?

Okay, congratulations on something that means nothing? Is that better? I know all about how bad the CU football program has been, I live in Boulder. But shutting out a bad team with a back up QB is no kind of extra accomplishment. You really will take the smallest thing and try to make into something great.

First of all, if it's such a small thing, why has no other team out there come even close to doing the same thing?

After the 1st weekend, this is how the Top 5 longest ooc winning streaks looked

#1 - UMn - 19

#2 - Iowa - 12

#2 - Kent - 12

#4 - Bama - 9

t5. - who cares with 5.

Since then Minny's won 2 more. I believe Iowa's won 2 more as they also played an in conf game in week 1, Kentucky and Bama each won just one more as they both played ooc opponents in week 1, and after week one played just one more ooc game.

So the Top 4 right now is probably,

#1 - UMn - 21

#2 - Iowa - 14

#3 - Kent - 13

#4 - Bama - 10

5th place - best case scenario is some teams being tied with 7.

So UMn is basically 2 full seasons ahead of both Iowa & Kentucky, and 3 seasons ahead of Bama, and 4 seasons ahead of every other team out there.

So outside of Iowa, Kentucky and Bama, every other team in the country would need to win 14 straight ooc games, if not more, including bowl games, just to match what UMn's done. Most decent schools playing about 4 a year, it would take AT LEAST another 3 full seasons and part of a 4th for anyone other than Iowa, Kentucky or Bama to match what UMn's done. And more than likely UMn will make it 22 next week, and then you can all hope the Gophers get some really good opponent in their bowl game, to increase the chances of the streak ending. Otherwise it will be 23 going into next year and Bama may have to play 2 ooc games at the end of the season.

Obviously this is tougher for the very top teams to accomplish because they basically would have to win a title every time they got into the Cfp and then every major bowl they got to inbetween and the Bamas and Clemsons of the world usually schedule at least one team in the ooc part of season that is better than UMn usually puts on their schedule. Although TCU was rated quite high, #2, at the time, they finished up #6 or #9, and they only beat us by less than a TD. Before that we played #20(?) USC and NDSU in 2011, only lost to USC by 2 points, 17-19, and they finished the season #6 in the country and NDSU went on to win their first of many FCS Natl Titles. A series vs UNC is upcoming.

And if it was such an easy task to shut out Colorado in Boulder, why has NO ONE ELSE done so since 1979???

Texas A & M, a supposedly much better team than Minnesota, couldn't shut them out the week prior?

And Minnesota's playing a back up RB doesn't hinder them?

No, not at all. Why do you assume so?
Because you spend your time online coming up with these dissertations trying to defend something that has been dogshit for the past 40 years

You said minnyy was father of skyscraper…that’s a lie

Might be? But I read it somewhere online. So I assume there is some degree of truth to it.

Why don't you post a link or some evidence proving Minnesota had nothing to do with the creation of skyscrapers, and I may just have to admit to being mistaken, FINALLY. Some have tried, but so far all have failed as I always have a source of some kind for what I post.

And after you post some substantial data, not just your worthless opinion, then I can either admit your opinion was right, or I can counter with data to back up what I posted.

Maybe you don't understand that people make money researching stuff and presenting the results of that research and then someone like me can just read the article on Gophersports dot com and post what I read there, here, and then when questioned about it, I can easily find the article there? lol

What are you too lazy to back up your claim?

Never said I wouldn't back up the claim. lol Maybe you another student of Zoolander who don't read good?

I said right in my response to you that if one of my claims gets challenged, then I can back it up because everything I post about, has a source and facts to back them up, at least to some degree. If my source is wrong? Well, that hasn't happened yet, but it could?

Well, boy, I posted a couple links, so you still say they are the father of the skyscraper, or do you admit it was a lie?

Again, I was not too lazy to look up my claim. I much more enjoy when people like you come along and do some of the research for me, in an effort to refute or stump me or prove me wrong. I sometimes learn things in the process and it's more fun for me at least.

This issue for example, allowed me to read enough of what you posted, combined it with what I gleaned from another article showing that some modern scholars are not calling the home insurance building claim into question.

It's claim only came about because of SHADY Chicago folk not wanting to honor the Patent of the Minnesota boy, Buffington, who was given a patent on the idea of the "cloud-scraper" as he called it in his original proposal for a 28 story building. Reading that article refreshed in my memory where I had heard that skyscrapers were born or invented here in Minnesota.

I mean, if you want to claim that the 7 story Tower of Babel was the first tall building, and argue THAT was the first skyscraper, you can, lol. Doesn't change the fact that what constitutes a "skyscraper" today isn't even agreed upon.

Some claim it has to be 100 meters high, and the home insurance building was only what? 42 meters in height? While others claim it has to be 150 meters high.

Did you know any of this or did you just google "first skyscraper" in hopes that you'd find something to give you a chance to call me a liar? lol
