NO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
And sometimes Kimbrel in the 9th, if Hendricks has been used a lot. Remember the 2015 Royals with their big 3 in the pen? Sox have that now.I’m Guessing hahn is picturing that royals 3 headed monster. Kopech the 7th, kimbrel the 8th, and liam in the 9th
I'm in full agreement in the short term. We should now have the overall best pen in the AL, if not all of baseball. But I had to emphasize should because prior to the start of the season, I thought we already had the best pen. I couldn't have been more wrong. It's always a shock when the news first hits, and to get anything of value you have to give up something of value. But in the total picture I think this deal works.
Offense needs to do its part nowI'm in full agreement in the short term. We should now have the overall best pen in the AL, if not all of baseball. But I had to emphasize should because prior to the start of the season, I thought we already had the best pen. I couldn't have been more wrong.
Best starting pitching in the AL too. Pitching matters in the playoffs, even more than the season.I'm in full agreement in the short term. Yes it does, very much so.Best starting pitching in the AL too. Pitching matters in the playoffs.
At least this wasn’t as bad as when Hahn traded away Tatis, eh guys?!?!??
He is a real wunderkind.
They upgraded 2B, Eloy is back, Robert soon...hopefully it's enoughOffense needs to do its part now

I mean, they upgraded the pitching big time. It's the best in the AL now. For the playoffs I'd rather have that then a better offense. And healthy this offense is plenty good.If it isn't...They're f*cking idiots.
Because it doesn’t make much sense when you have Kopech and Hendriks. Madrigal was a massively important piece of the future core of the team. Kimbrel is not. Also, Sox got a reliever yesterday. Why get another?I don't get this move.

As I continue to calm down, the logic provided by the pro-trade faction in here begins to make more sense. I doubt I'll ever be completely happy with this move, but I'm beginning to understand why Hahn/Williams pulled the trigger. One thing that should be noted and which I forgot is that as much of a fan of Madrigal that I be, he does tend to get injured an awful lot so far in his early career.
Well, it does kinda boil down to that, doesn't it.IMO, there is only one logic. Win with this guy or look like complete f*cking idiots.
someone had their IR stint extended to the 60 day. That is likely why we doubled upI'm with you. This is dumb as hell...We are set up for a few years here...Don't take away one of THOSE pieces for one shot. That's the f*cking bullsh*t I've been sold for years...NOW you go back to Kenny Williams on me?
And again, it's not like they won't have anyone at 2B. All that's 'lost' is the delta between Madrigal and who they have now, and that is nothing this year (negative actually with Madrigal out) and next year it's not that much either. As I continue to calm down, the logic provided by the pro-trade faction in here begins to make more sense.
