Haskins is not good for the team right now. Its just an opinion Allen would be better. To throw the season just to develop Haskins in a winnable division is a slap in the face to fans who want to see the team win. You obviously don't want to see the team win. What did we find out about haskins last Sunday? He can throw WR screens, take ill advised sacks, 4th and goal didn't throw it in the endzone, and be inaccurate. But he is developing, so he gets a free pass for the season. Just hand him the job b/c of his draft status. this guy hasn't shown anything right now. I hope it changes. I do route for the guy but what I see on the field is not even average. Why am i a hater if i want to see the team win?
I don't mean for this to come off as a dickhead move, but I'm beginning to question your intelligence as a football fan. I'm not advocating that Haskins continue to play because of any of the reasons you state. I'm doing so because I feel he's a very talented player at the the QB position who's also extremely raw. I could be wrong, but I believe I've seen enough that if he's handled right, that if things fall the right way. He could develop into a legitimate top tier starting QB capable of solidifying the position for us n leading the Skins for a decade, perhaps longer. For myself and I'm sure for others, the reason we continue drawing comparisons to Josh Allen is because he was in a similar position with the Bills. And similar to Allen. Haskins needs to be allowed to make mistakes, to have bad games, to have a terrible game even. There's a lot going against him at present. Chiefly the lack of talent at the offensive skilled positions and on the OL. As well as his own rawness/inexperience. And by handled right I mean there are gonna be times when he needs a good kick in the ass. There where be other times though when he will need to be coddled. He also needs to stay healthy, but above everything or at least on par with staying healthy. He needs to be able to continue playing.
Now you may disagree with everything I've said concerning Haskins. You may even question my football intelligence for believing the things I do about Haskins. If that's the case, cool. I'm a big boy. You wouldn't be the first to call me an idiot on a football fan message board and you won't be the last. But please stop throwing this winnable division bullshit up as some valid rationale as to why you want Haskins benched. I don't believe you or any other Skins fan that wants Haskins benched. Wants that because of a chance the Skins can win the shitty division they play in. If that really is the case. That's some ass backwards, nonsensical, short-sighted as fuck bullshit reasoning. I'd rather you just be honest and say, I don't think Haskins has the goods to lead the Skins out of a paper bag with the bottom torn out. I can respect that.
Far as not wanting to see the Skins win. Of course I want to see them win. I just don't see going 6-10, 7-9 or 8-8 and winning a crappy division then getting ass paddled out of the playoffs in the first rd as truly winning. I'd much rather take some lumps now and even next year. For the opportunity, for the possibly even, that it will make Haskins a legitimate QB and the Skins a legit team capable of winning the division, as well as a 1st rd playoff game and beyond.
