Snyder has been bitch slappin the shit outta Washington fans since the 2nd year of his ownership with his no direction havin, incohesive, nonsensical, lyin ass. At least there's a direction and plan this year. I'll admit its not always easy to watch, but if they stay on course. We'll have a much better idea on whether or not Haskins is the QB to lead the team into the future.

One more thing. While I understand that its a hope of Skins fans who want Haskins to work out. I notice you never really reply when people bring up the 1st year/1st 10 games Josh Allen comparison. If you're unaware of it. Allen is straight ballin 9000 this year. Now I'm not saying Haskins will w/o question be doing the same things Allen is now in his 3rd year. But the Bills stuck with Allen for almost 2 seasons (28 games) of up n down play. His first year (played 12 games, started 11) Allen was shaky, real shaky, but the potential showed at times. His 2nd season he definitely improved, but was still shaky and couldn't hit a deep pass to save his life at times. His third year (this season) it all seems to have all fallen into place. After 4 games he has a 122.7 QB rating and looks to be a legitimate top 5 NFL QB.

Are you telling me that as a WFT fan. You can't handle 2 seasons of shaky play from Haskins. Even if it means he comes out the other side and in his 3rd season he's ballin like a top 10 or even top 5 NFL QB? That you would rather they bench Haskins now and try to win the NFC East this year?

I agree Haskins will be a work in progress. If Dallas was running away with the division I would say play DH no matter what. But this year is different b/c we could win the division with an average QB like Allen. The coaching staff is not pleased with DH. I didn't expect DH just to come in a dominate but to play like this prompted a possible QB change. We wouldn't of beaten the Ravens with Allen either. Yes I am all about winning regardless of draft status.

I like this mostly cogent post of yours. Shows you have a relatively rational thought process on this point. I was beginning to worry about ya.

I differ from you on the time frame needed to really see what you have in DH. RR knows what he has in Allen.

Cheers. And Hail. Team first I can get on board with.

I think ... as I understand it they told Haskin's to be sure to throw the ball in or near the goal line and he did not. As RR said (I think this is weird BTW) because they didn't have a preseason etc. He wanted to see how Haskin's performed when give explicit instructions.

RR was also asked about LC. He said he plays hard but he has a tendency to play outside his responsibility. Something we heard about before he came here.

Cali ... I tweeted RR and said I have bragging rights on this game ... go for the TD.

Yeah, heard that wrinkle on am radio today from Sheehan. Just bizarre imo as a teachable moment. Definitely interesting style. But hey, if it works, who am I to complain. We were not winning that game....but I was winning our bet...if RR chose to play by normal football rules....dang him, lol

Revolutionary training technique or not. Thoughts? I’m alright with it cuz of the score as I’ve previously mentioned...but still...bizarre imo.

What does winning a fluke division do for us long term if it isn’t Haskins doing it ? If we win the division by winning less then 8 games we are still losers . Truth is Haskins is our best qb and has the potential to be our franchise guy . Allen will never be a franchise qb unless it’s with the Hamilton tiger cats or the Toronto argonauts . You find out about Haskins and get a new guy if he busts . Stop with the short sighted nonsense

And Haskins is the best qb to win the division on this team period

DH might have more potential but Allen is better right now. IF we get into the playoffs anything can happen. DH is being played b/c of draft status and potential but that doesn't win games in this league. With the division in shambles he should have a shorter leash this year. Who cares who the QB is as long as we win we should be happy. How is it non sense if its about winning? If you put Allen in and he fails, you make the switch back to DH when we are eliminated from playoff contention. This is what RR was saying last week and there is a point where he has seen enough of DH

Allen can’t win more games because he is a lesser player . And come on dean once you bench Haskins you are on new qb mode

It’s nonsense to sacrifice the teams development long term to be a 7 win or less division winner

And what evidence do you have he is better ?

Once again you failed to address what was actually asked of you far as the comparison of Haskins to Allen. And would it be worth 2 seasons of Haskins struggling if that led to him becoming a top 10, maybe even top 5 QB. I didn't ask you about the coaching staff not being pleased with Haskins. Or if Haskins would dominate this year. Or if any present WFT QB could've beat the Ravens last Sunday.

But in failing to answer what I actually asked you. You certainly answered what you value more. That being a division title this year in the shittiest division in football. A division title that more than likely would lead to an immediate exit from the playoffs. Upon losing to whatever wildcard team who's good fortune it would be to draw the Skins in the 1st round. As opposed to Haskins struggling for 2 seasons, but leading to him becoming a top 10 to top 5 QB hopefully for years to come.

I didn't want to believe what @skinsdad62 was actually saying about you and other Skins fans. Who want Haskins benched now in favor of the possible instant gratification of winning the NFC East this year. Regardless of how meaningless or fleeting that would be in the long run. I was wrong though and dad was/is much closer to the truth and being right on the matter that I ever was.

He knows the offense better and will be a better decision maker. Not true if you bench Haskins. How is it sacrificing team development if we win with Allen? We could compete for the decision this year. Why not give us the best chance to win.

How have you come to the conclusion that Allen is better? Based on what facts?

Haskins is not good for the team right now. Its just an opinion Allen would be better. To throw the season just to develop Haskins in a winnable division is a slap in the face to fans who want to see the team win. You obviously don't want to see the team win. What did we find out about haskins last Sunday? He can throw WR screens, take ill advised sacks, 4th and goal didn't throw it in the endzone, and be inaccurate. But he is developing, so he gets a free pass for the season. Just hand him the job b/c of his draft status. this guy hasn't shown anything right now. I hope it changes. I do route for the guy but what I see on the field is not even average. Why am i a hater if i want to see the team win?

.... or worse .... he hasn't had as much invested in him.

The reason to play Haskin's as far as we know is projected upside and what the coaches have seen. I hope it isn't because it is what Dan wants. That may be way off base but based on Dan's history a question that should be asked.
