I don't know about you but I'm the most unbiased person I know.
They did offer him another contract, you are correct.why would Phillip care about bad blood? The players and owner had his back. You'd think if someone would beg out it would be Krause....but he's not afraid of a challenge.
Yes.Unless you mean invalidate as a criticism, I don't think it invalidates what Lebron did.
If anything, I think it validates it.
I think Lebron doing what he did is why KD was a Warrior, AD is a Laker, Kawhi and PG are Clippers, Kyrie and KD are Nets, Westbrook and Harden are Rockets...etc., etc.
Me too.I don't know about you but I'm the most unbiased person I know.
Yes.
As a criticism.
What Kawhi and George just tried to do is the difference between Chris Bosh and a amalgamation of Lou Will/Trezl away from trying to be a modern day Heatles.
No.
George + The Klaw don't equal Bron + Wade.
But, Kawhi got praised for joining a historical bottom feeder, while demolishing a Thunder franchise, because he declined to pull a Durant and join the Lakers.
Yet, what he did is very much on par with what LeBron did when he went back to the Cavs.
My point?
Team hopping, trying to stack the deck aren't the scandal they used to be.
It's starting to become commonplace. So, I personally don't hold that against Lebron, unless I need it as a coup de grace in the Jordan GOAT debate.
Yeah. If we slag him off then we have to slag Kareem, Wilt, and Shaq for moving to the Lakers, or Shaq to Miami, or Walton and Parrish for moving to Boston. Or Drexler going to Houston.Unless you mean invalidate as a criticism, I don't think it invalidates what Lebron did.

Reinsdorf did ask, but no way would Phil stay while Krause was there. The drama and bad blood during the 98 season would have only gotten worse.
As has been stated by several, Krause deserves full credit for building up the Bulls, he just should have handled the end better.
But the idea that was peppered throughout was Krause broke it up and that's not the case. First move after season was they asked Phillip if he'd come back for another season. He said no. Then MJ begs out.
Now I can see being sick of the circus and it's certainly his right to quit/retire. But that defeats the narrative of the MJ is God crew a little as it shows he didn't want to undertake an actual challenge.....nor did Phillip.
I believe that if Reinsdorf had fired Krause he could have gotten everyone to come back for 1 more year.
But that was the only way.
Yeah -- that is definitely a possibility. Though I just don't see how they'd convince Pippen. Reinsdorf would have had to pay him $25 million or more to get him to even think about it.
True.
But get rid of Krause and pay him MJ money and it could‘ve at least been a possibility.

No doubt. From what I understand, it was actually supposed to be private and for season ticket holders only or something along that line. I'm pretty sure @TurnUpTheHeat or one of the other Heat fans could give the full story.
But at the same time, I'm sure it wasn't a surprise party either or that he didn't know the decision to televise it had been made.
agree if you add under ideal circumstances.I see it different.
I think it's a matter of entitlement.
Good or bad, right or wrong, he felt like he earned the right to have a chance to win again on his terms and his terms only.
I think that's completely in line with the way some of us see him.
Arrogant, self-absorbed prick who just wins.
Hard to know what to make of this as it doesn't say what Jackson was offered. Were they supposed to make their best offer first? They did offer him another contract, you are correct.
It went the way of Ty Lue's offer from the Lakers.
Phil Jackson rejected the Chicago Bulls’ contract offer and team chairman Jerry Reinsdorf is asking to meet privately with the coach who has led the team to five NBA championships in seven years.
Jackson’s agent, Todd Musburger, said Tuesday the Bulls had made an “insulting” offer that did not reflect Jackson’s worth. No more negotiations were scheduled for this week.
Newspaper reports have said Jackson is probably seeking between $4.3 million and $5.75 million next season

Maybe it has happened but I don't think so........Wonder if there will ever be an elite player (if CBa stays the same or similar) to leave soon after a rookie deal. Cannot really go right after as he is an RFA. But he could sign a 1 year deal then be unrestricted. would probably have to be someone who had already earned a ton in endorsements.Yep, figured you meant the criticism, but just wanted to make sure.
To be fair to Lebron/Wade, the Heat weren't the Clippers, but it's not like they'd won a lot of championships either.
It's not like he went to the Kobe/Pau Lakers. lol
And completely agree, can't really hold it against him...he was just the first to figure it out. But, fair or not, it gets held against him in the GOAT debate.
