I just mean boring from the perspective that he doesn’t really do anything scandalous off the court. Aside from being a social activist, there is really nothing controversial about LeBron the man.

MJ and Kobe certainly had their share of controversy.

Yeah, gotta agree there.

When people have to complain that you "over celebrated" a play your kid made in a youth basketball game to create controversy...you're pretty boring. lol

Unfortunately, yes...lol

Dude, it's been business as usual here, outside of Hair Salons, Nail shops, Malls.

I told y'all, most of the restaurants never stopped customers from dining in.

The other day Boulder Creek made the national news when close to or over 100 people packed the creek area. WTF are these people thinking?

Yeah, pretty sad when NOT getting arrested with hookers and blow, or a domestic fight, or DUI, or gambling, etc is seen as a bad thing.

Okay I know how to settle this LeBron/Kobe debate once & for all. Since comparing their careers numbers somehow isn't legit :heh: my deciding factor will be their HS careers.

LeBron won 3 state titles & one national title at St. Vincent's / St. Mary's (fuck them!).

Kobe's freshman year he guided Lower Marion to an incredible 4-20 record. And never won a state title.

LeBron > Kobe

His skyhook should have been illegal since it was unstoppable.

I think it got blocked twice his entire career.

Once by 7'4" Ralph Sampson and one other guy (who I don't think was a center) who got behind him and blocked it as he was bringing the ball up.

But what was his shooting percentage with it? I'm genuinely curious.

Not even on the Wizards?

……..yeah past his prime....? C'mon. But even in that, past his prime and older age, he went to a failing franchise that was historically bad and got them to be playoff contenders, impressive.

Surprised it ever got blocked. I found a YouTubes video.

3 players who blocked Kareems skyhook

Right on about Sampson. Some fella named Wilt Chamber-something. And who the fuck was this guy? Bill 'Poodle' Willoubhgy*. If I did see the video I would seriously question the 3rd fella.

* = had to look his stats up. Played from '76 to '84. Atlanta, Buffalo, Cleveland, Houston, San Antonio, NJ.

Closest I can find is that apparently someone tracked all of the skyhooks he shot in the 1983 playoffs.

The person who tracked them, tracked 15 games, 10 of which were against Hall of Fame centers Artis Gilmore and Moses Malone. He hit 50% of them.

Looking at that and assuming he would hit a higher percentage against centers who weren't as good as Gilmore and Malone, it's safe to say that he hit over 50%.

Why Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s skyhook was pretty much unstoppable

Just not true. Lebron had nothing to do with the Heat losing the title in 2014.
while I do think for the most part tyhis attribute for MJ is overblown the one time I will agree it mattered would have been in that Dallas series. He would have told wade he's the man and not wrried about anyone's feelings (not to say wade would have pushed back for sure).

Not sure, but think one of the first HS to NBa players (or maybe it was ABA first).

I remember a great picture from Sampson blocking it. I think it was an NBA ad in Sports Illustrated. It had Samspson blocking the shot and if memory serves, the caption said: "When 7'2" isn't tall enough". lol

I think Willoughby was the non center who blocked his shot from the back.

At least lately, it seems like every other article is that Curry couldn't play in the '90s. Also, if were as highly regarded as LeBron, he would've won at least one Finals MVP.
which one should he have won? Lebron was probably more worthy than Curry in 2014-15.

Wade didn't need to step aside. Wade played like one of the best players in the league. They simply needed Bron to play like he did that entire season and in the playoffs leading up to that appointment.

Michael will always be ahead because of his on the court accomplishments. You watched the video I posted they broke it down to even today's analytics and Lebron is behind him in almost everything.

The only things Lebron will pass Jordan on is due to longevity.

Anyone trying to make it a popularity contest is grasping at straws. All you have to do is look at 24-11 with 6 championships and never losing a final, to 18-31 with 3 championships and 6 times losing in the NBA finals.
ok
