Kobe was lucky enough to have basically one coach his entire career though (the same guy that coached MJ), people seem to forget this at times. Lebron's had 5? I mean that is pretty crazy.

So you're saying David Blatt wasn't a good coach?

I've been waiting for someone to mention Danny Ferry...makes sense you were the one.

Sixth man: Wesley Person

6th man Wes Person? Hell no. I'm going with jammin' Jimmer Fredette. The prince of Provo. Nothin' but net.

@Mecca

You're in the Tempe/Scottsdale area right? Don't remember. Had the national news on the other day & they interviewed some woman in Scottsdale. She was asked if she was worried about current events. She said she wasn't afarid of a cold, the flu or something they don't have a name for yet. She was talking about covid-19. Holy crap.

It means that going by their career stats LeBron's are better.

Fair...I just hate the stat argument to say this guy was better than that guy...especially when they didn't even play the same position.

Unfortunately, yes...lol

Dude, it's been business as usual here, outside of Hair Salons, Nail shops, Malls.

I told y'all, most of the restaurants never stopped customers from dining in.

It was a tough choice for me between Kareem and Hakeem, you can't really go wrong with either

As for Bird and Duncan. Dunc is a great choice, and again, you couldn't go wrong with either, I picked Bird
for the intangibles, his passion, competitive ruthless nature, how he was always cool and calm in the clutch, and how like Magic, he seemed to sometimes just pull plays out thin air and leave everyone saying "how the fuck did he do that".
Prime Bird was a monster.

You are correct.

If the game was on the line, outside of Jordan, there aren't a ton of other guys that I would choose to take the last shot, over Larry Legend.

Reggie Miller did some circus shit a time or two. But, as much as I loved him, he wasn't in the Bird, Jordan category.

The fact that he and Jordan told you what they were going to do to you beforehand, and you still couldn't stop it, is just savage.

I would do the same. the Dream wasn't better but I really do think in his prime Hakeem could have taken down anyone...Kareem though, he is GOAT for the center position and I know just about everyone doesn't want to put a center in the conversation for GOAT but if they did Kareem is right there.

PG - Magic
SG - MJ
SF - Lebron
PF - Timmy
C - Hakeem

Magic and Lebron can play any position. Both Timmy and Hakeem had a mid-range and great post play...you don't need outside shooting but Lebron and MJ could make enough where it wouldn't matter. Nobody is touching this fast break.
Do you think KAJ gets slept on so much because of his personality?

I mean, if we go by stats, longevity.....he's probably the GOAT.

But, he doesn't have the Jordan swagger, the Magic Johnson personality that endears him to the masses.

Dream was an enigma.

Guys his size should not have that type of footwork back then.

That shit he did to David Robinson was just.....cruel....lol

He got Shaq too.

But, not like Robinson.

He obliterated that Dude.

WINNER!

I don't necessarily think he gets slept on. I think everyone knows he is the best big man ever but in the grand scheme of the best players...I feel he was a better player than Magic. (**hard to compare a PG to C but whatever**) And you do make a good point, Kareem didn't say much just like Timmy but I think both are still adored and get respect just not as much as others...like you said, personality and swagger has A LOT to do with it for sure.
There isn't anything Kareem didn't have. Peak, longevity, titles, MVP's, college titles, college awards...I mean, you can't beat it.

He abused Shaq and Robinson....he made Robinson look like a bum :laugh3:

I think Kareem gets slept on because a lot of people tend to judge his career from the mid to late 80's rather than look at what type of player he was during the early 70s till the early 80s

1982-1989 Kareem was an absolute beast, but he was no 1970-1981 Kareem

3. LeBron

LeBron does not have that determination to win at all cost mentality and attitude that MJ and Kobe had. If he did, the Heat never lose a title.

See, there is that to it. But I think this is about skill in general rather than mental willingness.

Mentality is part of a players skill set and their overall attributes. It's why coaches will say, "Give me a guy who has a ton of heart and just mediocre athletic ability, over the guy who's an athletic freak, but has zero commitment and isn't reliable."

Even then, LeBron has the physical attributes that make him so dominant, I'd still take Jordan and Kobe's game over his. They didn't have the pure strength and size LeBron has. They did most of their work with being smart, attacking their opponents weakness and being finesse.

I have Hakeem as the 2nd best center all time. He just doesn't have Kareem's resume'.

You know who else gets downgraded because of his personality?

LeBron James.

Everybody loved MJ. LeBron is a better man and on a similar plane in basketball, but MJ will always be ahead no matter what LeBron accomplishes because people like him better.
