The announcers even said they have never seen a horse collar penalty called inside the pocket, but I have never seen a horse collar, wear a player grabs his jersey on his upper back, like that called.
Then that first play on Cleveland's last drive they called holding, where the guy had his hands inside his pads and I knew the game was over.
ARTICLE 16. HORSE-COLLAR TACKLE.No player shall grab the inside collar of the back or the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, or grab the jersey at the name plate or above, and pull the runner toward the ground. This does not apply to a runner who is in the tackle box or to a quarterback who is in the pocket
Cleveland made mistakes but a game shouldn't be that poorly officiated where you have to question: a) are the refs blind? b) how do they keep getting this easy calls wrong? c) why should I even watch this sport anymore? d) is this flag football?
Every single sport has missed calls all the time. NFL football games have 5 different angles with super slow mo.
The NFL faces an existential risk if they aren't able to lower the injury risks for their players. They are very much aware of that and they are going what they can to reduce life threatening injuries.
The WR's were awful again...he wasn't throwing the most accurate balls but I saw 4-5 drops on very catchable balls. His only pick that wasn't his fault was the endzone pick to Landry
