The announcers even said they have never seen a horse collar penalty called inside the pocket, but I have never seen a horse collar, wear a player grabs his jersey on his upper back, like that called.
Then that first play on Cleveland's last drive they called holding, where the guy had his hands inside his pads and I knew the game was over.

ARTICLE 16. HORSE-COLLAR TACKLE.No player shall grab the inside collar of the back or the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, or grab the jersey at the name plate or above, and pull the runner toward the ground. This does not apply to a runner who is in the tackle box or to a quarterback who is in the pocket

Cleveland made mistakes but a game shouldn't be that poorly officiated where you have to question: a) are the refs blind? b) how do they keep getting this easy calls wrong? c) why should I even watch this sport anymore? d) is this flag football?

Every single sport has missed calls all the time. NFL football games have 5 different angles with super slow mo.

The NFL faces an existential risk if they aren't able to lower the injury risks for their players. They are very much aware of that and they are going what they can to reduce life threatening injuries.

The WR's were awful again...he wasn't throwing the most accurate balls but I saw 4-5 drops on very catchable balls. His only pick that wasn't his fault was the endzone pick to Landry

What?

That situation is more applicable to a fumble (if the offensive player is on-top of a defender on the ground, the play is not blown dead for forward progress and the ball is knocked out, it is a fumble because the player was never down).
The OBJ situation yesterday is more like a force-out: Player goes up and gets the ball, gets a foot down well in-bounds but a defender knocks him OB before anything else lands in-bounds. I didn't see anything on OBJ hit in-bounds (other than his initial foot) that wasn't simultaneously hitting out-of-bounds on any replay yesterday.

With the OBJ call I think it boils down to the ruling on the field being an completion and the replay not showing clear evidence that it was an incompletion. Maybe he got the elbow down. Maybe he didn't. I didn't see any replays that conclusively showed that his elbow didn't come down first.

Agree...just figured getting a foot down on a guy who is clearly in bounds might count as was clear he didn't get 2 feet down.

If you what you said was the rule I thought he clearly didn't get another foot, arm, etc. in. why I thought maybe leg/foot on player in bounds served the same purpose.

What?
If you are asking about the picks, I agree. First one WRs ran into each other and fell. Last one should have been caught.

One to Landry on Baker.....though pass never should have been called (still on Baker).

If you look at the replay, his elbow and helmet touch at nearly the exact same time.

Look at the 14 second mark. It is really close.

nah...14 sec mark shows left foot come in, which we knew. Not seeing anything else that was close (unless on the player counts).

Look at his left elbow. It comes down seemingly in bounds about the same time his helmet hits out of bounds.

Wilson is easily the front runner for MVP at this point and I'd say the sole reason they are 5-1 and not something like 2-4 but that still doesn't change the fact the Hawks defense has been pretty average so far this season.

That will be their demise down the stretch or when we play well balanced teams.. Our defense has to improve quite a bit if we're going to be taken seriously... 86 pass attempts by Goff/Baker against us the past two weeks and we get 0 sacks and only get 1 QB hit on Baker yesterday...

RW is our only saving grace at this point... He's the main reason we're 5-1...

A win is a win in this league.... but I have suspicions that seattle D is not going to carry them far if they should get into playoffs.
