I would like to see Barlow and Evans.

Who are not rostered yet... we have guys on the 60 day DL too. More trimming ahead me thinks

I am much more optimistic about our pitching going forward than I am about our hitting.
Yes nice outing by Burke. 1ER six innings and two hits. Can’t complain.

Getting close to ghost hard talk with Odor. Solak can use the 2B experience for next year. Wonder if Odor can play some 3B or CF. He needs to play winter ball to recreate himself. Not really working here. Two many holes in swing. Get more compact. I know players tweak during the season but seems like an overhaul is needed.
I actually do not think Odor would be that good at those other positions. Some players are versatile but there is something about him that to me is not. I would not mind seeing Santana more at 3b and not Forsythe just to see how he handles it.

I am impressed with what he has done in his 2 starts. I know it is early but very encouraging outings.

We definitely have some fat to cut from this roster.

If he can't become more versatile then either an Angel's to Rangers Hamilton type trade or a DFA may be necessary. He needs to be on the bench if anywhere on the roster, and if he can only backup 2B he has not much use at all.

Volquez will get rostered off the DL then probably retire opening up a roster spot. Think we will see shorter starts and more of these short relief pitchers get their shots

As am i. But adding Cole just makes sense. A starting rotation of Cole, Minor, Lynn, Allard and Burke would be dynamic in the new ballpark. As far as the offense goes we need a 3rd Baseman and a catcher so maybe we go for broke with Jung and sign an offensive catcher like Grandal

Big stink was awful again today

2K’s

Grounded out at the biggest moment of the game

White Sox closer hung a breaking ball right down the middle and he hit a lazy fly out to right field.

He’s getting pitches to hit, he’s just sucking.

IMO any player who can't start and only plays one INF position can't be on the 25 man roster.

For the most part I agree. Someone like Andrus to me would be an exception.

Tells you all you need to know when a young pitcher has a 0.75 ERA after 2 games and his record is 0-1.

I sure wish Elvis was hitting better. Really need at some point a premium bat at 3B. Tough year for him. Santana is a really good fill in at SS though

Jung isn't ready for AA yet.

It is not time to go for broke. The goal has to be beyond 2020. If there are unlimited resources then Cole is a great addition. If he hampers us in getting other needed parts then he may not ne the best use of limited resources.

At some point we will probably need to sign 2 high quality bats. I only want to spend on pitching what we can if we also sign those two bats. If we have enough resources for all three then that is great. I just don't know if that is the case.

I think Elvis stays where he is and Santana gives 3b a try.
