2017-2019 have been abysmal.

I just don’t think he’s going to be the bad ass player JD thinks he can be.

I’m not a JD hater either. I love the Santana, Burke, Allard, and solak deals ( so far)

Rarely does anything negative come out against established players yet it did. So in my mind Solak is going to get regular ABs the rest of the year with some time at 2B hopefully at least equal time. Then next year it will be announced that the position is an open competition. I bet Odor gets the word early and plays winter ball

I know that we probably won't do much during the off-season but what do you think about going for Gerrit Cole? That would really be a positive way to open the new park

Cole would be a great pitcher to have. It would probably take 7 years at $220 million.

It might be a better investment to spend on offense the way this team hits.

Like I said a few days ago, they need to inform him that he will be a bench player next year and encourage him to learn a couple more positions in the offseason and in ST next year.

He got the best pitch to hit anyone has seen all day and got out on a lazy fly ball.

So far? To me, deals should be judged when they are made. Sometimes bad deals work out much better than they should and sometimes great deals work out much worse than they should. That is the way I look at it anyway. It is easy to judge deals in hindsight using hindsight alone.

I think they were going to give Rougie the year to see if he could work it out despite past but wit a Rookie who looks good now his development is equally if not more important.
