The training staff are not cancer specialist. But I am not going to blame them entirely. I am also tired of hearing all these spokesman for Trent. If he has a problem, then state it.

So lets say Dan says "okay Trent, we will fire the entire medical staff." Who wants what next?

Trent should honor his contract but only if the medical staff is fired or Danny allows him to see outside doctors on the Redskin dime.

Again TW has a part in this too . He was told to get a second opinion and he didn’t . Trusting a sports dr solely is just dumb . “ experts “ ain’t always right so get engaged with your treatment

No the medical staff isn’t pure as the driven snow but blind trust will get you killed

My long time friend has always said "doctors are not perfect. Get a second opinion." We seem to think doctors shouldn't make mistakes. They are just as human as the rest of us. dad is correct, if Trent expected a sports doctor to diagnose cancer then he is complicit too.

I honestly believe Dan thinks the cure all is moving the team back to Southeast. Sure it will help in the short run. Everyone will want to see the new digs, smaller stadium will make it look more full, easier access, but if the losing and dysfunction continues, eventually so will the attendance problems.

Where is Dan? Why doesn't he speak? Bruce takes all the fire for.him and when the shit really hits the fan they roll out Doug to deal with the Rueben Foster backlash and shit like that.

Snyder never talks to the media & that has basically been that way during his entire tenure. The lone exception used to be when he would give that once a year interview during preseason, but that ended several years ago. Heck even Allen didn't talk to the media much until very recently (in his apparent new PR role). Snyder is not the type of guy who enjoys media attn & I don't think that will ever change.

As I stated earlier, if this whole ruse is all about Trent getting a new contract, then I have a real issue with the position that Trent is taking. And we will know if this is the case if Trent does get a new contract and the medical/training staff goes unaltered.

However, if Trent has come to the decision that he no longer wants to play for this franchise (honesty, who could blame him?) then trade him now and get what you can. Do not let the same thing that happened with Cousins happen with trent. A valuable player walks out of Redskins Park and we get zero compensation for him.

Also, as pointed out by someone above, how does Bruce survive this? We now have 2 of our biggest marquis players come to the conclusion that they want out of this franchise. First cousins, who got to the point that he wouldn't even entertain offers from the Redskins, and now Trent. How incompetent is Danny to not address the real issue with this franchise?

Trent Williams Redskins Rumors Tracker: What is the latest on the holdout saga?

ok according to this he hasnt requested the staff be fired . it seems its about more guaranteed money

the skins FO strategy wont work in my opinion , he is set financially

he wants more guaranteed money

Then if he is set financially why does he want more g money? lol. He supposed to be our CAPTAIN and supposed to put the team first. Lost total respect for this guy. Plus his game is not even top level right now. What about the drug suspensions Trent? Get your ass to camp!!!!

Oh...first? For a 31 y/o OT? If he was sub 30 yes...as it is, I'm thinking 2nd rd.
Give some real reasons, not just because he is sub 30. He is actually 31 years old, the BEST LT in football currently and quite frankly, under paid at this point. Granted, he is not a CB or QB or RB, but honestly, the most important position to a QB on the field is his LT and TW's is the best so a 2nd, really? No way the Skins pull that trigger nor should they. It has to be a 1st or a player of equal value in return, now who has one that can negotiate?

Well we both know +30 is a huge trigger point in the NFL so that is a real reason.

As far as BEST LT, based on what? PFF? Keep in mind, I'm not suggesting he's not, but if you lined up all 32 starting LTs and they were made available for a hypothetical expansion team...is he the LT they would take 1st? He hasn't started/played all 16 games since '13.

Not trying to diss the player, but I stand by 2nd rd pick.

he asked you for reasons and i can give you some that back your claim because i agree with you

age 31 , not a deal killer for a contender , but all the same its there

decline in health , hasnt played a full season in 4 years

he is one strike from a years suspension for drugs ( people forget that )

his salary cap number is 14 mil , another issue which means the skins will have to absorb some of the hit for a team to take him

he would start the rest of preseason on the pup , he hasnt recovered from the head surgeries ( yes plural )

so i see a 2nd and a 4th maybe a 5-7 added with us giving up a late rounder and absorbing some of the cap hit (case keenum is on our team with a deal like that )

so that is my best non homer look at it

LT is different for WR1, when it comes to age, but we (most Steeler fans) all thought PIT would get a 1st rounder for Brown.

Technically they did, but AB refused to report to BUF so Nada.

You’re spot on with the cap hit...I’m not sure how much of that the new team would take on, but coupled with the pick...it would be hard for a team to give up a 1st and pay out a huge cap hit.

He is not the best LT in the game I agree with you but a late 1st rounder is going to scare the Steelers and Pats away from him? I don't think so. Teams will outbid for his services. If you are willing to give up a 2nd and 4th then why not just do a late first assuming the PAts and Steelers make the playoffs to outbid other teams. late 1st round picks bust all the time so its not a big risk.

Name 1 LT better than Trent? Injuries aside, previous bad habits etc...If you had 1 LT to line up for an expansion team and you get 1 pick of LT. Dude is that athletic, tenacious, very good run blocker, even better pass blocker and doesn't get penalties very often. It's Trent Williams my friend...He is the best.

Are you talking today, or in his prime? The problem is you can't put injuries aside. That is part of who he is as a player. So today, no he wouldn't be my pick if I had the choice of any LT, especially as an expansion team. He only has a couple of years left in the league. I would pick Smith from Dallas.

Good point...especially NE, they will move a late 1st rounder, but I don't see them doing that AND paying the cap hit they would be trading for...WAS would have to eat some it imo. PIT, it would have to be a huge need for them to part with even a late 1st rounder.

That said I don't think either PIT or NE are really the market for a starting LT. CIN should be inquiring though...#1 draft pick OT is out for the year, moving LG back to LT I think....but that could be a fairly high pick.
