The Rams fired him so that Chung wouldn't sue them.

Where the hell did he come up with $1.75M? Maybe he thinks that what Chung is paid for his win against the Rams in the Super Bowl. If Chung is smart he says let's go to court, bring in all of the texts and then counter sue him and his fukin' attorney as well.

Attorneys should be held equally responsible for frivolous lawsuits.

The NFL officially passed a rule Tuesday which would allow pass interference calls (and non-calls) to be challenged by coaches and reviewed within the final two minutes of each half.

I’d rather go 0-16 than see that fucker on this team’s payroll again

Not that I care if he ever came back but I don't hold Mangini responsible for the whole Spygate fiasco. There's no way he could've ever seen that shit storm coming. He probably was just returning the favor to BB as the Pats threw a Jets camera guy out the season before who was doing the same thing. The media made a giant deal out of something that seems kinda minor.

Watching NFL Network's NFL Access. First story is that the Chargers and Giants are in full panic mode now that the patriotsand Cardinals had coffee. The Chargers have offer their 2nd Round pick #60 and the Giants countered and offered their second round pick #37. How bad do the Giants want him? Are they willing to offer the seco0nd first round pick? They have two. Patriots can beat the Chargers #69 by giuving up the Bears' second round pick #54. I think that eliminatres the Chargers.

Call me crazy, but the Patriots let the Giants have Rosen and get Sterling Shepard for their 4th round pick. Sound about right??

Patriots draft Daniel Jones Duke University in the late 3ed round.

Interesting discussions.........

Greg Schianno resigns and leaves the Patriots with no DC. The DL coach was hauled away with a huge contract by the KC Chiefs who fired their DL Coach because the DL could not stop the Patriots run game in the AFCCG. No one says a word but firing Andy Reid might be a better option......

None the less, the Patriots coiaching staff is somewhat tattered. Historically, BB likes to bring young guys up through the ranks and promote them, especially on defense. Mangini, Patricia, Flores. He stepped a bit outside the bix because his defensive coaches are all very inexperienced and haven't had enough exposure to just give the reins to any of them, including his son who's been with BB his entire life.

The question was asked if Jerod mayocould be the next DC and one of the commentators said that he might been able to step up in about two years if BB works him into the position he has in the past. Most eveyone thinks that Belichick might pull in an older DC who's in his late 50's or early 60's that Bill knows he can control and basically have him teach Mayo the ropes.

They still need a Defensive Line Coach. BB needs to get these guiyson board quick. Schianno went to the combine and all of the pro days and is going to be available according to reports, but the draft is a month away and the spring flings start taking place immediately after the draft.

The next couple of weeks should be very interesting.

Bill and Rex does not seem like a good match to me. Yeah, Rob worked here 15 years ago, but he doesn't run his mouth non-stop like his brother does. ESPN is a good spot for Rex.

Funny thing is, Pats don't officially announce their coaching staffs like other teams do, they just put it out with the media guide later in the year. So they actually announced that Schiano was leaving the team before they announced he was joining the team lol.

This is definitely a most curious staff makeup when piecing together the reports we have had...the assistant OL coach they've had the last couple years (Cole Popovich) has gotten good word of mouth, but they reportedly hired another college OL coach from Youngstown State to be the assistant OL coach, and Scar's still here. So will they make Popovich the OL coach and give Scar some sort of senior consultant type of title? Would they make Popovich the DL coach to give him some cross-training? None of the coaching assistants has a clear connection to the DL position. DaMarcus Covington was a college receiver who's mostly worked with the back seven defensive players. And the other two were college lacrosse players. Will Bielema just take over the DL? That seems like the most logical solution based on who's already here. And there've been reports they'll move Joe Judge from ST to offense, but where on offense? He was a college QB but presumably Mickey Lombardi will get Schuplinksi's old job so would they give the only open spot on offense (WR) to Judge? And then who would coach ST's? Steve Belichick? Will be very interesting to see how it all finally shakes out.

Navy Heisman winner and ex-Patriot Bellino dies

The New England Patriots say Heisman Trophy winner Joe Bellino has died.

Bellino died on Thursday at the age of 81. Neither the team nor the Heisman Trophy Trust, which reported the death on its website, specified a cause of death.

The Navy halfback was nicknamed the "Winchester Rifle," after his suburban Boston hometown. In 1960 he became the first Navy player to win the Heisman. Bellino served 28 years in the Navy and Naval Reserves and reached the rank of captain before retiring.

Bellino was drafted by Washington of the NFL and the Boston Patriots of the AFL. After serving his military commitment, he played three seasons with the Patriots, mostly as a kick returner.

He was also offered a contract by the Pittsburgh

Sources: the Patriots and DE Michael Bennett have agreed to a reworked two-year deal with a base value of $16.75M, including a $4M signing bonus. Bennett gets guaranteed money and more upside, while the move creates $700K in cap space for the team in 2019.
