Bortles isn’t that good but the defense looks like dog shit too
But that's in part to Bortles turning it over deep in their own territory all the time.

Kaepernick was already getting bad at football and now he hasn't played in almost 2 years, do you really think he'd be good now?

such a misnomer. i hate having to keep doing this.

his last 3 NFL starts:

70.65%
664 yards
5 TD
1 INT

104.6 rating

14 carries for 52 yards and a TD

And he was 1-10 in his last eleven starts. If you're a QB that doesn't win, your career isn't going to be very long. Is it fair? Not necessarily. But if you lose more than Tim Tebow, you ain't getting a shot. Tim may not have been statistically great, but at least he won.

tebow threw a football like a full can of paint.

nearly 71% is good

47.3%, isnt (thats tebows comp% not as a jet at QB)

tebows teams won despite him. remember that game winner vs pitt in the playoffs? everyone does. problem is, everyone also forgets he put them in that spot to have to make that play. he was 10-21 passing. misssed a LOT of guys who were open. speaking of winning, he went into foxboro and got turned inside out going 9-26 the folowing week. brady threw 6 TD's.

poof, theory gone.

tebow is more legend than reality. 8-6 regular season, 1-1 post. he managed to win 6 in a row for denver while completing exactly 50% of his passes for 175 yards and a TD/game.

thats winning despite someone.

eh.... Packers with Rodgers are a 10 win team .... without him they are a 5 win team .... yes, football is a team sport but the QB position can impact its' success or failure GREATLY ...

I think the Jags should be looking at backup QBs for the answer. Tyrod Taylor might be a great pickup. Maybe signing Landry Jones? IDK, but I don't think the answer for them at QB is currently on their roster.

Like I said, his stats weren't great, but he won. His stats say he shouldn't have won, but he won. He was on a team that was 5-20 in their previous 25 games before he was installed as the full time starter, but he won. Deny his influence if you want, but he still won.

Kaeperninck was on a stacked team, put up nice stats, but once Harbaugh was gone, he couldn't win. Did he deserve another shot with a non-incompetent coach. Maybe. And if he hadn't gotten so political, he may have got that shot. As I said, it wasn't necessarily fair, but it is what it is.

I'd love for them to get Tyrod Taylor. I think he's by far the best QB they could realistically get. AND he really fits the bill of what they need most in a QB...he simply doesn't turn the ball over much.

ahh, the intangible effect.

"he led them to victory"

he didnt. he was a guy trying to play QB on a team that essentially ran the tebow option. drop back, look once then run. he couldnt read defenses. his reaction times were poor. his windup was like slow motion.

ever guess why he only started 14 games for denver?

and guess why hes trying to play baseball?

he cant play QB...and everyone knows it, including finally himself. tommy frazier won a lot in college too. again review my 6 game winning streak stats.

Tyrod is just a more expensive version of Kaep.

Another thing is, they can change the QB all they want, but that defense seems to have regressed as well and that's something a change in QB probably won't fix with this team.

and guess why hes trying to play baseball?
He's out of football for the same reason Kaepernick is. Because of the media they attracted they became too big of a distraction and not good enough to be worth it. I'm not arguing about them being exactly as good as each other or what. I'm just saying, they were both good enough to be at least on NFL rosters and none of them are because the media made them not worth the distractions.

Denver was 5-20 in their previous 25 games. They made only 2 roster moves. Installing Tim Tebow as the starting QB and trading Brandon Lloyd (their best WR at the time) to the Rams.

And they went on to make the playoffs after starting the year 1-4.

Do you really expect anyone to believe Tim Tebow wasn't what led them to victories? It was the exact same team, minus one of their best offensive weapons in Lloyd. I'm assuming you also believe Orton was a better QB than Tebow, so that was also a downgrade. Yet they went from winning 25% of their previous 25 games to winning 63% of their next 11 games. Same roster. Same coaching staff. And you want me to believe everybody else magically got better with no help from Tebow? LOL.

Kaep once led his team to 2 straight NFC title games. That might not be a bad thing.

I'm talking current Kaep who has been thoroughly scouted and found out. Peak Kaep was far better than Tyrod. Tyrod is a 1 read then run QB who can't throw a receiver open (and won't challenge small windows). He also isn't big enough to absorb too many hits from running that much. Bad combo, especially at $15M. What would Kaep cost, a tenth of that (and no trade necessary)?

Kaep is the best available QB, but teams are too politically challenged to make the move.
