I was a bit surprised that the team went out of their way at the beginning of the game to show that Foles is not their starter by sending Wentz out for the coin toss. Not a great way to treat the SB MVP even if it's true. I hope Foles goes undefeated in the run up to Wentz return. I'm sure other teams saw the slight and expect that Foles wasn't too happy about it either even though he probably didn't bitch about it. I expect Foles would like to be out of there.

I have not heard a single media report mention this "slight" that you pulled out of left field. Foles knows he is the backup to Wentz and he has not hid that fact. He has even come out and pubicly said that this is Wentz team.

However.....there isn't a single player in the NFL from MVP to very good to good to average......starter or backup that would be happy about not being on the field. It is called teh competitive nature of being a pro athlete. Every player strives to win a starting job. If Foles does not want to hold a clipboard all he has to prove that he is a better QB than Wentz......I believe we can all say that is not the case.

Have you been watching Foles lately? Foles had all world performances at the right time for the Eagles. It got us a SB and for that I will always have a Foles Jersey in my closet but.......... He has shown that he not long term and no one is going to hunting for him to be a starter unless he is a placeholder for the QB of the future they are grooming.

Foles will never be the guy that will carry a team. He is what I would call a serviceable QB that would help a great team. Kind of like Brad Johnson. I just can't see him being anything more

uh... teams had an opportunity after he was SB MVP and they wouldn't break more than a 2nd round pick. We got a 1st/4th for Sam Bradford!!! Doug stated, that was the starting point for Foles. So clearly, teams were not hunting with much ammo. Foles chose to stay here as well. He has stated how much Wentz supported him, and he has no problem supporting Wentz and being the backup. Both are highly spiritual, team oriented, self-less individuals that do not and have not brought up the type of slight that you fabricated. Yes, many people might feel that way. But Foles does not.
