Expect things to get easier once they have wide receivers who can get open.

A win is a win without Wentz ... so I'll take it! Foles looked bad, but the good news is he now gets back to back weeks with 2 very winnable games in the Bucs and Colts (I see Wentz possibly back by the Titans in Week 4). The D played really well every time it had to put the clamps on. Julio is amazing, but we didn't let him get into the End Zone which in the end is what counts. Happy we knocked off that Week 1 rust and still got the victory.

I'm surprised nobody brought this up but ATL will be without their starting long snapper tonight. That could have an impact on tonight's outcome possibly.

Mall, you are psychic my friend. they missed an extra point, that may have changed things. Whether or not it was the LS' fault, they missed it, and Bryant may be the NFL's best Kicker.

I was just surprised it wasn't brought up. That is a huge position that never gets recognized and with a game like this, it very well could be the difference in the outcome. I think ATL is in trouble if their regular is out any significant time. Timing is everything with the LS. So glad we came up with the win.

Perfect way to start the season.

Ajayi gets to feel like the man.
Agholor caught everything.
Jason Peters is his HoF level self.

And the defense.
Outstanding.
They are fast and they get to the right spots.
We will smother teams all year.

And that was the defense missing Bradham. Gerry filled in decently....but he also had a gaffe or two I don’t see Bradham doing. They should be another tick more solid next week. As long as healthy I think they can be formidable.

They sure were called on a bunch last night!

he played like a rook.

I had only really read up about Goedert. Yeah, he played like a rook some. Welcome to the NFL. He also made a hell of a grab in the end zone and was just zoned out too much. He will learn. And god damn he is huge!

Ertz....eh....when it rains it pours I guess. He was atrocious on this night. But as long as it is something isolated to this game and his hands are back on starting next week there is nothing foul.

Nelly’s stat line is just weird. 8 catches for 33 yards. But also 16 running and 15 passing. Very unusual stat line that doesn’t highlight the one thing I saw. He caught most of what came to him and had major fight for every yard he could get. It was efforts like that that made the rust showing a little easier to take. Things weren’t clicking, but they weren’t rolling over.

Ajayi looked pretty good. I just do not like the way he carries the ball (as highlighted in the two point conversion that was lucky to break the plane). His ball handling is even scarier that McCoys was and I hope it won’t bite us in the ass in the future.

What can you say about Sproles? Unbelievable to think that guy is 35 watching him out there. He’s back to strong and quick. I just wonder how long he can slide around out there being utilized like that.

Foles was....well....a tick better than I worried after watching the preseason some that we were getting very bad Nick. And that was at least a tick or two above. Reminded me of just a bit of his play in last years playoff with Atlanta. Maybe it will lead to better days like it did last post season.

Having a healthy Wentz back is very much needed. Whenever that is it will come with the worry of how he handles guys flying around and diving around his legs.

The mental toughness of this team is off the charts. Particularly the defense. They’re just so good. Kinda scary to think the defensive effort would look even better in the boxscore if not for two offside penalties by Barnett.

Especially loved to see the broadcast team highlight that Douglas was in and he comes up big with the INT.

both QBs were lucky that DBs can't catch. Bright spot is our D play even without Bradham. Hicks is a beast when healthy. Also impressed with Darby and Sydney Jones.

I also liked the look of the 4 DE line package on some of those obvious passing downs. I expect that'll payoff more against lesser lines we'll face.

Hurry back, Alshon.

This offense doesn't have anyone who can make defenses pay for clamping down on short passes right now.

Mike Wallace looked like he was barely trying at the end of every route.

I was a bit surprised that the team went out of their way at the beginning of the game to show that Foles is not their starter by sending Wentz out for the coin toss. Not a great way to treat the SB MVP even if it's true. I hope Foles goes undefeated in the run up to Wentz return. I'm sure other teams saw the slight and expect that Foles wasn't too happy about it either even though he probably didn't bitch about it. I expect Foles would like to be out of there.

Non-story.

Wentz is a team captain. Team captains go out for coin tosses.

He did it during the regular season last year, too.

You give him too much credit. People have to care about what you have to say in order to start a fake controversy. He attempted to start a fake controversy and failed...miserably, I might add.
