I liked Day 1 under Peters much better than I thought. Very precise and smart I felt.

OLB = Luvu
C = Biadasz
DE = Armstrong
RB/ back up = Eckeler

4 big needs off the board that can set up the draft.

What do we lack still (all positions)?????????????

LT
RT (if Wylie goes to G)
MLB
#1 CB
SS
Slot WR
TE (starting)
DE
QB = 2nd rounder to address

I think SS can be had in free agency. There is a good market for safeties.
I think it will be tough, but RT might be our next position we must shore up.
Do we dangle a 2nd for Snead of KC? Maybe??? We might need to actually.

That might be it for free agency. We can't address everything in 1 offseason.

If we do pick up a SS and RT, I show 6 positions left. In no order: LT, MLB, slot WR, TE, DE, #1 CB

Good news, MLB should be easy to secure in the earlier rounds. Same for TE.

Realistically, I think the following picks can start or log heavy minutes. I believe at least 4 will be called to start.

  • Round 1: No. 2 overall
  • Round 2: No. 36 overall
  • Round 2: No. 40 overall (from CHI)
  • Round 3: No. 67 overall
  • Round 3: No. 99 overall (from SF/comp pick)
  • Round 4: No. 101 overall
Could aim for something like this:
R1 = QB
R2 = LT
R2 = Trade to KC for Snead
R3 = MLB
R3 = TE
R4 =DE

Lots of work to do...but lots of time obviously. Great start though!!!!!!

Way to keep things positive Duke. I thought today was above average and clearly we didn't hunt any big dogs. Still plenty of money left over moving forward to target some nice additions before the draft.

I agree we can pick up a safety in FA. It is a heavy crowd.

Sorry but I pass on corner. I definitely don’t trade for Snead.
Curl is still in play as well

Way more active than I was expecting. Curl might still be in play. Martin might be the plan at SS.

Are we really prepared to go with Forbes and BSJ on the outside. Maybe the coaching was that bad. At the very least, still need a slot.

Tackle for sure is a need.

I know....we might need to nail down at least 3 more positions to feel comfortable going into the draft and NOT reaching.

I still think we can nail down SS and RT. If push came to shove...there are still LBs out there. We could then use a 2nd on CB.

If we get a OG instead of RT that can work as well

Told you a GM would make the difference with the team.

Pass on Smith.

ok, then who is our LT?
Draft one.

Not a fan of a stop gap at the 2nd most important position on the field.

Smith is the latest buzzword with fans.

Now you know why I tried so hard to get you to see why Rivera was so bad. I told you.
