No, a lot of players haven't been ranked as high a Simmons since Lebron. He is the highest ranked since Lebron.

Not what I said, I said a lot of guys have been "the highest ranked since..." that means the highest ranked player since the previous best player. For example, highest ranked since Magic, highest ranked since MJ, etc., etc.

Point is, a lot of guys have come in very highly ranked and have not lived up to expectations. Being the highest ranked player since Lebron is certainly something for Sixers fans to be excited about, but it is also no guarantee of success.

This all started when a Lake fan started busting on the Sixers and I compared them to LA only to get... Saric isn't that good.

Overall, Saric hasn't been that good. He has averaged 12.8 points on 41.1% shooting. That's not good by any measure.

Overall, Ingram wasn't any better.

However, towards the end of the season, each of them figured some things out and started playing much better. Hopefully, both can continue the trend next season.

Is rather have Ingram than Simmons (which is particularly ludicrous).

As of right now, I'd rather have Ingram because he has actually played a full NBA season. Assuming Simmons gets past his injury and actually starts playing games, my opinion may very well change. But for right now, give the guy who has shown he can make it through a season over the guy who hasn't played.

The Sixers don't have a bright future. LA has better current talent...which is all silliness.

Both teams, imo, have bright futures. As of right now, I like the Lakers future a little better because, as I mentioned, their top players have actually been playing. If Embiid and Simmons can return from their injuries and start living up to their potential, that could very well change.

Oh. Me and every other Philly fan are going to run you off this board if we flip the Lakers pick in to a top 3 pick next year. Will be the high light ofnext year.

You seem to forget the Lakers won't be tanking next season unlike the past 3. You'll be lucky to get a top 10 pick from them.

But keep dreaming cupcake!

Look, things went the way they were supposed to go. If Simmons would of came to LA, they wouldn't have let him dominate the ball, therefore severely limiting his ability. He went to the Sixers where he CAN do said things, and we got the player that will be a stud, and better fit what we were looking for. Both sides won

Lakers were tanking entering this year? LMAO

That was clearly not the plan going into the year. Heck we had Lakers fans on here talking about how they will win 30+ games. On top of that they did start the year 10-10.

They did not plan on tanking until February or March.

Next year will be just like this year. They will start off the year trying to be competitive and win games. If they see the team is really bad come late Feb/early March then they'll begin to tank. Please stop acting like the Lakers were trying to tank during the first 3.5 to 4 months of the season

Where did I say they planned to tank the entire season? After the all-star game they tanked hard. Played competitive for three quarters and then just gave up. Trading their top scorer and arguably their best player to Houston for a draft pick proved that. They could have easily won 6-8 more games if they played to win.

You on your period or something bks, or did your mom forget to make your lunch, you moody little bitch? Have a coke and a smile.

Lakers in the media publicly defending Ball makes it a sure thing they draft Lonzo IMO.

No. However, the reason they weren't tanking was because Short Buss was trying to save his job. That's why he gave Deng and Mozgov so much money.

That was clearly not the plan going into the year. Heck we had Lakers fans on here talking about how they will win 30+ games.

One or 2 did. Most were predicting in the 25-30 range. They won 26, so most of us were pretty accurate.

They did not plan on tanking until February or March.

They didn't plan on tanking at all. Injuries after the 10-10 start and Deng and Mozgov not performing kind of forced their hand.

Next year will be just like this year. They will start off the year trying to be competitive and win games. If they see the team is really bad come late Feb/early March then they'll begin to tank.

Actually, if memory serves, they won't have a 1st round pick next year (I could be wrong, but not sure). If that's correct, they have no reason to tank at all next year.

I honestly have no qualms with this girl or Lavar getting their money.

My question of why is more to the buyer. WHY?

Because people with no future, ambitions or responsibilities don't know shit about spending their money.

Dude, same reason the Kar-trashian clan members are uber rich.

The same reason those Jersey Shore idiots were considered just see TV.

We love the carnage.

The worst you are, the more you make.

Lavar Ball comes off as one of the most unintelligible human beings ever in interviews.

But, despite his poor grammar and general butchering of the English language, he is clearly smarter than the folks giving him money and free airtime.

Street smarts is trumping the hell out of book smarts.

He's clearly a marketing genius. He's made himself and his son household names before he's even step foot on an NBA court. That's amazing.

Kobe wanted to go to no one but the Lakers, he warned other teams in the draft that he did not want to play for them.
That is not true at all. Kobe would have been fine going to the Knicks, Lakers, Sixers, and most big market teams.

Exactly.

Look, I personally despise the guy.

But, I think the only real mistake that he's made is turning down that shoe contract.

I don't like that shit he said about Kyrie.

That was disgusting.

However, that's personal, not business.

Lonzo is going to be more of a Conley type, not Curry, Wall, Kyrie.

He's a game manager, distributor.

Kidd is his ceiling....imo

But, He won't have that kind of Star Power.

So, turning down the show deal was a miscalculation...imo
