Palmer was a PB QB in Cincinnatti. I think i had him in my top 5 at one point back then.

Bradford was never that good. Not even close.

Just a massive overpay by my Vikes.

I am slightly more excited for the season than I was yesterday. But the season rests on the shoulders of a 31 year old rb and Sam Bradford both staying healthy and one having his best season as a pro.

It just doesn't seem like the type of gamble that will be worth a 1st rounder.

Part of this season will be rooting for the team to get to the playoffs. The other part will be rooting for Bradford to play well enough to the point we can recoup some of the cost of this trade next offseason.

I think the people who made fun of the Eagles for resigning Bradford (including me) should eat crow now. They are either extremely lucky or pulled off a genius move.

The contract is what thre me for a loop more than the signing.

The challenge for the Eagles will be to take advantage of their good fortune. They don't have a particularly good track record with first round picks. Howie should spend his time with numbers and contracts and leave talent evaluation to someone else.
