I agree with this. He just needs to stay healthy......something that has proven difficult for him. Except for last season.

He actually played pretty well for the Eagles last season, 65%, 266ypg, 7ypa, 86 Passer Rating.
Yeah he's been a solid QB in his career when healthy. Now he gets a HOF RB, a Superbowl caliber play caller and good weapons on the outside.

I wouldn't be shocked if he outplays everyone's expectations like Palmer is with the Cards. He has that type of talent and the Vikes have that type of supporting cast

Bradford's free agency in 2018 lines up with Palmer's likely retirement. I could see him being the replacement here in AZ if he plays moderately well over the next 2 seasons. I wouldn't mind that at all.

sure... that's what the philly faithful will hang their hat on. Philly is a dumpster fire waiting to happen.

Oh its not waiting, its happening.

Philly is trying to recover from the Chip Kelly debacle and this should move them along a few years sooner. They overpaid for Wentz as well and now they are getting soemthing back at least to offset that.

Which if that is the case the Vikings could get back a 3rd round comp pick out of this. So what we could be looking at is a 1st round pick and if they are successful 3rd round pick for 2-years worth of service with the Eagles paying part of his salary and then getting a mid-round comp pick if say Bradford signs elsewhere in 2-years.

The statue comes to Minnesota. Hell I'm pretty sure even Peyton last year showed more mobility than Bradford ever has.

now philly fans will see why chase daniels is good as long as he's the back up

3 wins seems doable....5 not so much
He won't play that long.

Yet, as you just said Teddy might not be playing.

This team is too talented they won't be awful wth Bradford so the pick isn't going to be top 10 regardless.

We've already seen Teddys growth stunted. Waste a year of AP and hurt the development of Treadwell and Diggs with no QB? No thanks.

This way at least it's just Teddy trying to get up to speed whenever he comes back.
OK, if Teddy never comes back, the Vikes would be better off drafting a QB instead of Bradford. Think about it this way Romo calls Bradford fragile.
Sorry, there is no defense to this trade. It was DUMB.

Maybe this trade will work out ... only time will tell, but if I am in Philadelphia, I fell really good about this.

We weren't going to get the 1st or second pick?

Do you even watch football?

So you're suggesting is a Super Bowl contending roster(without a QB) tanks away a season to draft a QB and start the couple year development over again?

Got some inside info that Andrew Luck 2.0 is gonna fall out of the top 10?

Jesus Christ you fucking drunk?

Bradford finally gets a decent team. Not the dumpster fires that he's had to play on.

Bradford will be sure to bring his gas can.

The Vikings were in a very tough spot. They look at their roster and see one of the top rosters they have had in a very long time that just needs a QB that can not crash the team bus along the way. Bradford can do alright in that type of role. At the same time waiting as you suggest there is no promise that a QB of any caliber will be there say they have a mid to late round pick. Then throw in you never know when a rookie QB will be ready. I mean the #1 overall pick who was considered the most pro ready of any QB in this draft is sitting at 3rd string right now because of how far off he is from being a starting caliber QB. So that means you waist this year and next year in developing a rookie QB and by that point Peterson is through his last couple of prime years, no telling if you have been able to keep the defense together, and some of your offensive weapons that are on cheap rookie contracts start getting a bit more expensive. They know they have a small window here and are at least making an effort to try and win it all.

Good comparison. Most people thought Palmer was done when he went to Arizona.....Hell, I thought he was done when he was with the Raiders with all the freaking pick-6's he was throwing.
