Seems like a pretty simple decision to me.

Agree... price a bit steep, but QB position is overvalued in NFL so not surprising.

AD is not getting any younger and the Vikings defense should be a good one this year. Vikings went to playoffs with AD and Christian Ponder/Webb at QB... I think Bradford is better than either of those players.

Maybe Vikings asked around concerning other QBs... who knows what the asking price or even if available for other teams.

Bradford's free agency in 2018 lines up with Palmer's likely retirement. I could see him being the replacement here in AZ if he plays moderately well over the next 2 seasons. I wouldn't mind that at all.

Something that does help though in this situation is that the Eagles are still on the hook for $11 million of Bradford's contract. That means the Vikings are only paying $7 million this year for Bradford's services.

Effectively it's a 1st and 4th round pick for $11M in cold hard cash, (and cap space).
