Kind of surprised me too. I wish him the best. He was one of my favorite players but was off last year. Glad he didn't stay in the AFC West.
Sucks he went to a divisional rival, but its another unfavorable contract added to their cap. So I can certainly support that lol.

Ozzie seems to love these "aging vet" contracts nowadays. It paid off with Smith Sr so I can't blame him.

Well on PFF 2 of the last 3 years Weddle was the top safety in the league. So he still has plenty to offer. This past year I wouldn't read too much into it. The whole season was terrible for the Chargers. I do think after maybe year 2 of this contract Weddle could see a huge drop off in ability. Every player hits that wall at some point that that would be his limit in my opinion.

Yep, hats off to him on Smith Sr. Seemed like a limited upside move at the time.

Chris Johnson, signs back on with Arizona for a one year deal.

All really good moves by Arizona. Getting CJ back IMO was a must.

David Johnson looks like a monster in waiting but it will do him some good and keep him more productive if he doesn't have to be the lead RB all season. And upgrading the OL with Mathis will only help that Card's running game that was pretty good last season. Him and Iupatia are unquestionably the best OG tandem in the league now and might be one of the best we have seen together in the league for quite awhile.

Looks like the packers will be relying on Jordy staying healthy next year. Cook is overrated.

Jordy will be 31 and coming off an ACL tear what are the odds he is the same guy he was?

The draft doesn't look any better for someone of Jordy's role. Schedule is easier than last year but giants, cowboys, Houston could be problems for a good offense with weaknesses to attack.

Cook never played with a QB as good as Aaron Rodgers. I think he'll have an impact in Green Bay.

He'll be good to go in my opinion.

Vernon will be the biggest free agent bust this time next year and Miami was right to not play in any kind of bidding war on him. If anything Vernon should have agreed to a team friendly deal with Miami to rewrd the fact that he even got a chance to play in the NFL. His shortcomings will become very evident very early on in a system that expects him to be their #1 guy.

As for Miller I agree we maybe should have kept him only for the fact that replacements are costing nearly the same amount of $ but with a new coaching staff and a new vision I have to believe they knew what fit and it wasn't Miller.
