its the front offices fault from the beginning . they had a deal in place for 12 (now) going into 2015 but it was killed by allen . the had one for 19 mil going into 2016 but it was killed by allen . he could have been had for 1/2 of what we are paying him today but chose not to . sorry but the FO made the choice and they should be held accountable for their choice .

then they trot out this BS lowball 1 yr extension for the trans tag next year and think he would sign the hot garbage

and people who cant read a damn contract want to say " well its both parties fault " when the guy agreed to sign twice at much lower prices and the FO balked

sorry i am not buying and the FO will get every ounce of my textual disgust

Links to the articles saying KC was willing to sign 2 deals and Allen put the smash down on KC signing both times.

then, you must believe that KC is untruthful in things he is on record as saying in why he didn't sign a LTD

sty they had this guy for 12 mil a year and balked in 2014 . in 2015 the had him for 19 mil and balked again . the FO botched this up when he was perfectly willing to take a "reasonable rate "

this crap about him setting the market is BS

the skins set the market when they tagged him back to back . why sign a deal for less then you would get anyway ? they offered him a 1 yr extension for 29 mil and no guarantees past 2018 . why in the hell would you sign that crap ?

this guy has the 6th overall qbr rating of any qb in the nfl , he has made the pro bowl , helped us get back to back winning seasons since the late 90's set numerous team records , led the greatest come back in team history and yet that isnt good enough ? all with a historically awful defense

his only sin is he wiped the floor up with RG3 and did what the savior couldnt even begin to do and 2 egomaniacs cant stomach the thought that they were horribly wrong and some fans feel the same way but lack the courage to say so

Tc will start soon and we can talk about what happened today in TC and who is hurt and who is the sleeper and so on .

the only thing that makes me think he is gone is BA 's statement throwing him under the bus like a bush league r

the only thing good about this off season so far is the supreme court bitch slapped the trademark commission and ended the stupid name change garbage

Those three guys just gave there opinions. You want to call everyone idiots who thought KC should have countered. I gave you three examples. Plus there are at least three people on this board who think KC should have countered. We agree to disagree. Fine

You put disagree when I said they gave their biased opinions.

No...I call people that believe it is a fact that he should have countered idiots. I call people who blame this debacle on KC idiots. Because they are.

In today’s NFL, the point you are trying to make is not that simple. KC had some good points didn’t he?

BTW gk, Kirk was a REPLACEMENT Pro Bowl QB, and that’s a fact. The Redskins have signed KC to contracts that will change his families lives for generations. It’s all about winning championships at this point isn’t it?

Really isn't the point. Sorry. It is the point for us. It is their job. I would love for it to be about the Super Bowl and I would love for Kirk Cousins to play for 9 million a season but won't hold it against him for not doing so.

Not saying there weren't conversations here and there, but it's common knowledge that the agent was slow playing the shit out of this until Carr and possibly others signed. Basically until this past week. They were in absolutely no hurry.

Furthermore, it doesn't sound like they were asking for an all night/weekend meeting in the war room to hammer out a deal. You "Lovers" can spin it how you want, but there is some blame on KCs side. He likely DOES NOT want to be here, just to chickenshit and possibly greedy to admit it. You people are too ignorant to see that.

and again what d mn agent wouldnt do that ? seeing what carr got ? and where was the skins FO in this "let s get this all nighter " thing going ?

the FO had him in 2014 for damn 12 mil and killed it , they had him at 19 in 2015 and killed it . KC showed good faith in both instances but allen killed it period .

then allen throws out a measly one year extension for 29 mil and you saps eat that up like chicken and gravy then tops it off by throwing under a bus by him under a bus trying to make him greedy , when in fact his offer was stupid and not worthy of any response

the FO fucked this up its totally their fault and they deserve every bit of heartache that comes with it BA nut huggers aside

No one is giving the FO a free pass. Of course its their fault. A lot of people felt that KC should of countered and made it public to show Redskins fans, Allen, and Synder that he wanted to be here long term on his contract terms. If you think he didnt have to counter that is fine. Im just showing you some people disagree.

no player has come forth yet. I passed Cooley off as a former player. Read Cooleys article. Cooley is not a joke. I don't agree with everything he says but he has some good points.

No player will blame another player for trying to get paid.

Cooley is a total joke. He was an above average receiving TE with personality.

Some here do and some here don't, to me that's clear to others, it's about not being able to see beyond such juvenile things as "hating" or "not liking" Kirk, the long departed #10, some arbitrary "market" based on that tag or a universal NFL.

I'm not sure who the "we" that you speak of are, but sometimes all of us must be reminded of the strictly business side of the NFL. Sure from a fan's perspective it's stupid, no one disputes that, but stupid or not if we are to remain fans, we'll just have to learn to live with the business decisions made by those in charge of making them. #FUCKBRUCEALLEN

Actually, the market thing exists. You will get a first hand glimpse of it next season. If a guy is worth 24 million this season, why won't he be worth at least that next season?

A business decision will make you money. Winning makes you money. Not being an ass hat makes you money. Firing Bruce Allen will make money.

Don't think anyone on here or anywhere, has ENTIRELY blamed this on KC, plenty of blame to go around.

Now...not putting forth a counter offer IF he actually wanted to be here. That's just plain stupid and doesn't make any sense.

He is either full of crap when he says he wants to be a Skin or he is just plain greedy, content to play on the tag so he can really cask in...hypocrisy for a guy who claims to not be motivated by money. I hope God keeps him safe this year, I really do. He is gonna look like a complete idiot if he had a career ender.

When you say "it is the point for us" do mean for both Redskins and Broncos?

KC is on record as saying it was a "fair deal" the Redskins offered him.

then you must live in a cave if(and i emphasize IF ) you believe the contract wasnt talked about here in MI or through all the ongoing talks BA said were happening . maybe they were talking about needle point ? sorry mitz but you dont come across as a moron and just because KC said there wasnt a formal "counter offer "( which by the way isnt an obligation some make it out to be ) doesnt mean their wasnt proposals bantered about back and forth and in fact they HAD to be

KC taking the high road doesnt change that

You are free to disagree. If you leave it at that, we would not give you a hard time. When you blame KC because he didn't counter, that is when people give you a hard time.

BTW...KC telling them he wants to be here long term should clue them in. The silence in the negotiation should have told them he was not satisfied with their offer. Again, why didn't Bruce up his offer?

if you believe that was a fair deal then you are nuts and KC taking the high road and qualifying what he meant by "fair deal " in their eyes doesnt make it so

In the end the game is football. All that matters now is what happens this season. Who is right and who is wrong does not matter any longer. Everyone can argue that again starting in January.

I have watched this argument on here for two years now and I have not seen one person switch sides. If you like Cousin's you still like him, if you don't then you think justice was served.

I'd say a lot of us are tired of the entire thing but it seems a good portion of the board still want to go round and round about it.

Just remember folks, only a few days until camp starts. Lets play some football.
