OK First Dean, dont lump me in there as using insults. I tend to try and avoid name calling. Yes I may question your sanity at times, and say that what you have said was Dumb, but I was not implying that you were dumb, an asshat or any other such thing.

Secondly, you have always approached this from a we need to get rid of Cousins (unless he wants to work for cheap, and even then we should deal him). So you do tend to make assumptions and put them out there as indisputable fact. Then get your nuts all twisted when people say, prove it. Your general reply is.. I dont have to prove it, I just know Im right and tell us how we need to admit it.

Now as it stands the only FACTS we have are..

1. the Redskins lowballed Kirk again
2. Bruce has tried to shift the blame onto Cousins
3. The odds are pretty high that we lose Cousins after this season
4. If we dont lose him, it will probably mean we paid alot more for him than we could have
These are the only irrefutable facts. Everything else is speculation and opinion on all of our parts. This, Dean, is where folks get sideways with you.

Im fine with your first paragraph. This video is proof that my opinion holds water in this on going conversation. I have a proven NFL front office professional backing me up here. He said the same thing I said. Why didn't KC counter? When I said this on the board I got replies from a lot of people saying I was anti KC and I didnt know what I was talking about.

Come on Dean, you have one person who used to work for Bruce, and left on good terms.. backing up Bruce. The MAJORITY of the NFL world thinks, this is 90% on the Redskins front office. And even if Kirk doesnt want to be here, its because of the Redskins front office.

And yes you have been Anti KC from the moment the Giants game ended, you have come up with grand schemes to deal him. You started with two 1st rounders, and at some point we have gotten to.. well lets just get what we can and move on.

But according to Kirk's camp, the tag value is a "starting point" in his camp's negotiations.

Of course it is, you already agreed to pay the man $24M, so why shouldnt things start there and move forward. The Carr contract has already set a new floor for starting QBs with experience. $25M a year. Do you think Stafford is going to settle for a $22M a year average deal??

Hell if we let Kirk walk, and some how we are talking to Grap or McCarron.... BOTH their agents are going to shoot for $20M a year with the first three years fully guaranteed.

See thats the thing, people learn from others mistakes. So no one is going to take an Oswieler type deal where the team can bail after a year if they arent happy. So those guys are either gongi to get one year prove it deals (in the 20-22M range) or long term deals in the $19-21M a year with the first three locked in type of deals.

At the end of the day, unless we draft a QB, the position next year is going to cost us between $19-34M..

$19 if its Grap, McCarron or some other unknown who shakes loose. $28-34 if we tag or sign Kirk long term.

The only way we get under that $19M number at this point is to draft a QB or roll with Colt McCoy.

I thought Cousin's interview yesterday was interesting. Whether he meant to or not he sort of gave the organization a little backhanded slap when he said "we want to see the direction the organization is going in" or words to that effect. After firing SM and because the FO often seems to be in kaos I thought it was right on point.

I thought they took the high road when it came to suggesting Cousin's and his agent did not counter the offer. All they have to so is say "no." If that happens the front office increase their offer, decline (which they did) to increase the offer or ask what number would work.

I hope Cousin's, the offense and the team in general has a good year and will continue to hope they can find a happy ground that both sides can live with.

For every Riddick you can produce, I can produce 5 others who would disagree. You have proved it in your mind only.

my mind? it just got proved on espn from an experienced NFL guy. He can read between the lines and see what is really going on b/c of his experience.

As it stands right now, my bet is that KC leaves and we roll with Colt for a year while drafting his replacement in the late first or second round. As much as it goes against their history, I have to believe that Dan and Bruce learned from RG3. No huge trade up is coming. SO we are going to get a second tier QB in the draft. Which give us a 1 in 10 chance that they guy actually works out anywhere near where KC did.

I agree the FO is a lot at fault. But I thought KC should have countered. So did an experience NFL guy. That connection is bullshit. I thought he got fired from the Redskins.

Sure I was pissed at KC. I did say 100 times that I would give him the Luck deal. So how is that anti KC? How many times do I have to write this exact post. lol

Because everytime you would make a statement that you were ok with KC, you would post a zillion times about anyway we could figure out how to dump him. You don't see the contradiction?

If I knew he wasn't going to sign I looked at trade scineros. Any fan would do that. VT just posted one.

No, the correct post is if you knew that the FO wasn't serious about signing him, they should have traded him before the draft, when his value was the greatest.

he is not on the current payroll. Worked for them years ago. To say he is biasdes is bullshit. jy you put player interests above the team. No player is above the team. When you do that you are not a true fan.

C'mon sportster. DO you really believe that in all of the discussions that happened between the May offer and the deadline that not once did the FO proposal ever come up? Never did Allen ask KC's agent, "hey, what do you think about our offer from May?" I find that very hard to believe.

And if thats the plan, fine. BUt I honestly dont trust Dan and Bruce have learned fuck all of squat. Deep down I think they blame Mike and Scot for the RG3 failure and now that they have a coach they can push around a little, they can go out and get the kind of QB they like. They might not make the mega trade, but if we are picking some where in the 18-22 range, and they can get some one to deal for them to move into the top ten, I think they would be all over it.

Really? So you believe that anything Allen (a proven liar on multiple occasions) says over anything stated by a Redskin or other NFL player? How about Cerrato? He is an experienced FO guy.

Be honest - you side with him since he took an anti-Cousins stance. Most likely if he sided w/ Cousins you would take issue with it. All just to somehow prove that you are right. Again - get over it already - find your validation elsewhere (sincerely).
