Which is why I am a little snarky. If the Rangers are not budging then let the judge decide or if they default let the Rangers move on.

Sounds like they will recoup most of this years expenses if they do default but the following year is the one in jeopardy

He is probably the best pitcher on the market and one of the best in the game. I imagine he will get top dollar.

The situation the Ragers are in financially right now, is one of the reasons I didn't want them signing another starting pitcher last year when they signed Heaney. Trust your younger guys and keep some financial flexibility.

Basically the Rangers are not going to spend much, if anything and just hope to make it to the AS break and trade deadline with their current roster and hope when all the injured pitching comes back, that it can carry them. Really poor plan IMO
