Probably that or more. It would be a crazy move but could you imagine the top 3 AL MVP candidates hitting 1, 2 & 3 in our lineup. Semien (WAR 7.4), Seager (6.9) & Ohtani (10.0) and then Garcia, Jung, Heim, Lowe, Langford & Carter to open the season

All 30 Major League teams had decisions to make ahead of the Nov. 14 deadline to set 40-man rosters. Eligible players who were not added to their respective organization's roster can be selected by another organization in the Rule 5 Draft, which is set for Wednesday, Dec. 6, in Nashville.

November 14 is the deadline to add players to the 40 man roster to protect them from being selected in the Rule 5 Draft

We’ve got Semien, Seager, Jung, Garcia, Heim

And they're probably the reason he's still in Arlington along with what it cost them to acquire him. I know some of the folks on this site would love to see him gone even though he's no better/worse than Mitch Moreland. And there doesn't seem to be anybody in the Minors right now that would be any better than him...

Re-sign Perez, let Monty walk, bolster the bullpen by signing Chapman and Smith, trade Jung and Carter, and give Hedges a contract extension. Perfect. That's the off-season plan, folks.
Sign Grossman and Gallo and it's maybe the best off-season in team history.
