Will white people ever forgive Michael Vick?

There are currently 123 quarterbacks on NFL rosters. Michael Vick is not one of them.

Why not?

Because he is more of a distraction than he is a good QB at this point.

Vick needs to stop talking about being a starter and just accept that he is a backup QB at best in this league now.

What do NFL teams want out of their backup: A guy that will come in and run their system and keep the offense on track while their starter is out. Vick doesn't run systems. He just isn't accurate enough and is too willing to tuck and run under pressure. That makes him a less than ideal backup.

The one place that he might fit is in Seattle IMO. He would be the same type of scrambling for his life mad man that Wilson needs to be behind that OL, he won't need to do overly well to keep that team in ballgames because of their run game and defense and he will have no illusions over what his role will be on the team.

I don't disagree that treating anything poorly is bad and should come with consequences. But to tin foil and hyperbole your way through the Michael Vick story is fascinating.

Because Michael Vick was never that great of a passer in a passing league. His playmaking ability was on the run and via mobility and threatening defenses with the run. He put something together in Philly but their weapons and O-Line back then were amazing (younger McCoy, Maclin, Jackson, and good O-Line) and Andy Reid was no slouch running the O on that team.

That said, his primary weapon (legs) are no longer what they once were and he's injury prone. Signing injury prone QBs that are not that young is a recipe for disaster in today's NFL. IMO if Bradford goes down again this season he's done, but at least the guy is a pocket passer first.

I've 'forgiven' Michael Vick. I thought the whole thing was blown out of proportion anyway. I was happy the NFL let him back in and he got to re-coup some money after the liberal douchebags in this country basically bankrupt him.
