The Warriors schedule has been extremely favorable so far. After tonight, they will have played 40 games. Only 16 of those games are against current playoff teams. And only 7 of those games have been on the road. Right now, they are 4-2 on the road vs teams with winning records. And that included 3 games vs Houston and Boston who are barely above 500.

The Warriors opponents composite record is 653-895. I am not sure how close that is to last place, but it can't be far off.

The Warriors don't have to apologize to anyone. They play the games that are on their schedule. But I think that the schedule is one of the reasons why the advanced metrics are placing the Spurs as the best team right now. The other being point differential.

Pretty much agree here, Spurs have been blowing teams out, Warriors just kinda winning lately. No point in trying to parse it so closely, obviously they are the 2 best teams and barring injuries or very weird things happening they will face off in an epic WCF

Well let's not forget their best player Leonard is young, and Aldridge isn't old either. The old core isn't as fundamental to that team anymore.
This is true, between Leonard and Aldridge, with the veterans, I think they have a good chance as most of us have said. The Warriors are still the champions though and will have to be de-throned first.

PRobably not

The Spurs will keep resting their players and rotating nights off for everyone young and old

GS seems obsessed with playing a double or triple overtime game every other day to stockpile regular season wins

Those guys will be dead at this pace by March

It's crazy to even think that it's a possibilitly since GS was undefeated for like the first 30 games, but they are right there

Doesn't mean squat in the playoffs or finals. Houston won something like 25 games in a row and never made it to the finals. Sacramento had the best record in the NBA and lost to the Lakers in the Western Conference finals back in 2002. I could go on, but do the math.

The matchup on the 25th could very well be for possession of 1st Place in the West. Warriors have a much tougher schedule until then than the Spurs...although the game tomorrow at home vs the Mavs feels like a trap game.

The Ws will have the top seed.

It will be by a comfortable margin.

The SPURS have an insanely tough schedule in the second half....luckily they did not screw around and muck up the easier half.
